Unhappy 2nd time around

I've said it before, but today is the day. Lost 33 kilos, gained back 23 just from being careless and stupid. I have suffered this summer from not wearing all my lovely petite clothes. (and refused to buy anything bigger) I almost sobbed at times looking at them and then looking at myself in the mirror. I am so proud of you all that have taken it off and kept it off...well done. That will be me in a few months. And this time I want to lose more.

Hi Paula

Well your gain is my gain - more people to travel the journey with I also only just started. We can all do it together and don't be too hard on yourself - the most important thing you can do is to go back to what you know works and commit and you are doing just that.

Welcome back

Hi Paulajgr. Well..I'm in the same boat. This is about the 10th time I've gone back on Cohens, but previous times were quite half heartedly. I lost 34kg's in 2010/2011 and gained a whopping 30kg's back. Gutted and just hate the fat feeling again - only because I know how sweet it tastes to be thin!

So here I am, determined and ready to go. Day 3 back onto the programme. Want to loose 25kg's before I turn 40 in September.

Good on you for making the decision to come back on program. I'm back for the second time too after a 3 year deviation. There are a lot of us here that are in the same boat. You're not alone, we are here for you so make sure you keep us updated on your progress. I have only been back on my program for 2 weeks and I'm already feeling so much better for it, you will too. All the best and I hope you have great success this time round!

I'm back too !
...................and its all my own fault - I maintained beautifully for 18 months & then ate & drunk like a pig for a year & gained almost all I originally lost . I also had a miserable summer feeling fat & revolting whilst looking at all my beautiful slim clothes .

I've had lots of false starts ,but this time I'm so in the zone ...19 days DF & 6 kg down A most importantly feeling AMAZEBALLS .

Glad to share our journeys

Hi Paula. Me too!
I start again tomorrow.
I'm so glad you started this thread. I was feeling stupid and embarrassed to come back on here declaring that I'd put all my weight back on and then some.
Anyway, we can do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know that reading all of your posts will help me to stay strong and get back in the Cohen's Zone!
*waves HI to everyone here*
Let's do this!!!

We have all tried succeeded and failed mybe not all at cohens but at other diets too. I dont think you should all beat yourselves up. The most nb thing is that at some point you draw a line in the sand and say im not happy and i want to stop what im doing because i either dont like what i see, dont like how i feel or feel embarrased with how i look to others. Well thats what crossed my mind. The single most important thing is to make sure your mind is in it 100%. if you commit with your mind, your determination will take you through the highs and lows. You will all do great you have taken step one. Even if you have oopsies along the way the sun will set and you can treat the next day as a fresh start just dont let one bad day affect the whole journey. Keep a diary and keep yourself accountable and use us as your support. like you all im not that long ,(as a first timer) on cohens just going on 5 weeks and this forum keeps me on track and a place i turn to instead of food. Good luck all of you.

welcome everyone - Tes you said it so well...at some point we just have to draw a line in the sand. There is no failure in gaining weight, I know I've learned something every time the weight has crept up and I keep trying new strategies to deal with my eating issues...we are all a work in progress

Well, it's working well so far farmgirl76. I've felt lighter which is a super feeling - I couldn't stand the "not knowing" but the scale showed me down 7 #. Promised myself I wouldn't do that again until I reached my 1 month date, don't want to derail my motivation. Lol.

I'm on day 11 today; been doing everything the same but felt hungry today. I kept pumping the water and hot tea to help keep me satiated - wondering why all of a sudden, trying to keep my mind clear.

Is it normal to feel hungry at this late stage? Ideas?
