5 Years since I lost weight on Cohen's
I am sure this has been discussed many a time but wondered how many of you have gone back on your Cohen's original prescription the 2nd time around and have accomplished your weight loss. I last lost 5 years ago to my goal but didn't finish my refeed which I believe was my down fall, well the start of it.
Would be interested to hear your thoughts. Thanks! |

Re: 5 Years since I lost weight on Cohen's
Hi Paulajgr - go for it. I do go back to my original plan every now and then - unfortunately a bit more often of late. The latest was three weeks ago and I managed to lose 3kg in the first week which i was happy with as realistically I would like to lose 6kgs. The following weeks haven't been as good in loses however it is going down slowly and steadily. Even 5 years down the track I know that I need to consistantly work at controlling my eating - especially at the weekends.
Get your favourite dress out - make a realistic date with it and go for it. You have done it once, you can do it again. Don't give up!! WB |

Re: 5 Years since I lost weight on Cohen's
Hi Paula,
I have heard of several who have done this. Some were able to use the old Plan and it worked perfectly, while others found they were "starving" and had to buy a new one. My thoughts about that are that our bodies change as time passes, so what might have suited a mid-twenties girl might not suit her as a 30-year-old who is now married and has had two children. As such, with that much change, the food amounts on Plan might no longer suit.... ConnieK is one who is around at the moment, and I recall her saying she has done Cohens again - I'm not sure whether she bought a new Plan or not, but Connie might drop in to say Hi, or you might find her current diary. LittleMiss is another, also Kristine, Winterboots, the list is larger than that, but the names escape me. But just check out all recent diary entries to find those returnees and how they are travelling. Re not completing Refeed, unfortunately that can set you right back in your "old ways". A read of the "Back on the Bus" topic can give you a humorous reminder of WHY one should tip-toe into Refeed and Maintenance. Though it is great to reach those milestones, the race doesn't end there if you want to be successful in keeping the weight off.... Here's "Back on the Bus" for you:- http://newyouforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7521 Koh

Re: 5 Years since I lost weight on Cohen's
Nowadays there are of sources available for weight loss. If someone search on google there are lots of websites which offer different weight loss products. But I'm a little bit confused about their products quality. Are they safe enough to use?

Hi Kallum,
Quote:
If you have been around a while, you will know that, though Google can be very useful, it can also contain a lot of utter garbage. This is because ANYBODY can post stuff out on the Internet - Google spiders pick it up and "put it out there" for you and me, but they don't check on who is telling the truth, and who is telling a bunch of BS. Likewise, I suspect there might be a heap of weightloss products - some might be good, and some not. Who's to know???? We stick with Cohens - we know it and appreciate its worth. Past that, all I can say is "Good luck!" Koh
