Back after 10 years
Hi, I did Cohens in 2008 and lost around 12kgs very quickly. I managed to keep my weight pretty steady for around 8 years. However a shoulder problem stopped me in my tracks with exercising and in fact it took months to regain full movement of my arm. That along with menopause now has me about 20kg overweight.
Being 10 years older I am really feeling the physical effects of carrying that much extra weight. It is terrible So I decided to bite the bullet and go back to Cohens. I get my new menu on Friday and want start another diary to keep me on track for what will be a bit longer than last time. We had great support on this forum back then. It is a shame it seems a lot quieter these days. Cheers Tuti Last edited by Tuti; 09-10-2018 at 18:20. |

Re: Back after 10 years
Hi Tuti,
Welcome back !! Your kind of story (maintaining for about 8 years) is one that it would be good to hear more about. There are topics around where new people want to know "But will it be possible to maintain after doing Cohens?" We have had some maintainers pop in to give hope to others, but we can always do with more of you. And yeah, aging and accidents are part of the make-up of life, and can change our lives in a heartbeat. When that happens, we just need to pick ourselves up and keep on going..... Go ahead and start a new diary, Tuti - or you can resurrect your old one (did you have a maintenance diary?) - either way, it is your call. If I can help in any way, just ask..... And later on, when you have a spare quarter hour, maybe you can pop a post into this topic for us :- http://newyouforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6440 Koh

Re: Back after 10 years
Thanks Koh and Jessy. Might start a new diary as I found if I wrote what I had eaten each day it helped me keep on track. (It was interesting reading through my old diary)

Hi Tuti
Well done for maintaining for eight years. It's a shame that life throws curves balls however Cohen's is a great tool to have. Wishing you a smooth journey. WB |
