Brisbane Fruit Shops
Does anybody know a REALLY good fruit shop on the northside of Brisbane?? Somewhere in the vicinity of Wavell Heights or Chermside?? I'm so sick of buying fruit from Coles/Woolies and never being happy with it. I'm willing to pay that little bit extra for better quality,after all, this food is my medicine.

Hi Babytime!
I'm afraid I don't know any shops on the northside, but I do go to the Brisbane Markets at Rocklea every Saturday morning and I find the fruit and veg is much more reasonably priced there and of a better quality usually! It's become a weekly highlight outing now, as we (my partner and I) also enjoy a lovely coffee while there and we make a lovely outing of it! Vee

Hi Babytime,
I am in Sydney so can't help you with a name of a shop however in Sydney we have weekly organic growers markets which I find wonderful. Each week I stock up on very reasonably priced (mostly) organic veges. I don't know of your local markets but would be surprised if you didn't have a similar thing in Brisbane. I know there are wonderful ones both north and south of Brisbane. Good luck - ask the universe (God, Allah, Creation, Angels : whatever turns you on ) to help you to find the best place for you. Organic Fruit and Veg Delivery
well I was talking to my friend and she get's a delivery from the second company and is really happy with them.

Also try the Fruit Shop in Toombul shopping centre next to the health food shop near Coles. I always find their stock to be top quality. I live in Nundah and find this the most convenient - also I refuse to buy at Coles or Woolies as their fruit & vege are terrible!!
