Thumbs up Ms. Jiggles' Diary

Hello,

It is Friday night, Halloween. Tomorrow when I wake up, it will be my first Cohen Day.

I will have to face the scale and do my measurements to update my weight.

I have my meals planned and everything ready to go.

And I've decided to just go for it and get through what will be a tough first week.

Thanks for all the info I got pre-Cohens.

Ms. Jiggles

HI Mrs Jiggles

Congratulations on taking the big step.
You never know you may fly through this first week with grace and ease - some do.

I wish you the very best on this journey and may it be painless.

Blessings
Shanara

The first step is always the hardest but the start to a fantastic journey of learning. Congratualations. Just take it one meal at a time and you'll be through the first week before you know it and from there it's downhill all the way! Smaller and smaller and smaller

G'Day Ms Jiggles

From 1st November to now you have lost 45 pounds.

Bet you never thought this would be possible!

No more jiggles and feeling bony and cold, to boot!

The cold feeling will settle but as you are in a cold climate this may take a while. Lots of hot tea will help, or even hot water. We have a young Russian friend and she swears by very hot tea, and even hot plates! Yes, she has been know to heat up dinner dishes and put them inside her jumpers! I guess if you have lived in Moscow then you know what cold means - when she was there last winter it got to about 30 degrees below freezing but even that wasn't as cold as it can go - down to about 50 degrees below freezing isn't uncommon.

However, you will find that in summer you are much more comfortable, so it all evens out.

You have done amazingly well, I'll bet you have a grin from ear to ear.

Congratulations and best wishes for refeed

Cheers
Kristine

Question Not losing much lately..

I am bouncing around between 129 and 130 pounds and not really progressing much further.

I sometimes feel shaky. I get hungry mid-day only. I am not hungry in the evening that sometimes I almost forget to eat dinner. I wonder if I am stuck now at this weight. I am a little disappointed that I am not at 125 already!

I really want to refeed but feel like I should keep going as long as I can.

Thanks for your tips Kristine! I am drinking tea now and it really helps with the cold. You are right...I never thought I would have lost as much weight as I already have. I am smaller in size than the last time I weighed this amount a few years ago.

I am not sure what I am going to do at this point.

Hi Ms Jiggles,

Couple of thoughts - first off, your choice of ticker gives me NO clue as to how close/far you might be from 125.... Fortunately, your words do - and your recent comment re 129/130 tells me you're pretty close.... Keep in mind that Cohen allows the ordering of refeed within 2Kg (4.4lbs) of the TOP goal weight. Could that be YOU??

Second, if you indeed are "stuck", could it be your body trying to tell you something ?

Good luck,

Koh

PS Reality is what it is, not what we'd like it to be.... Time to accept?

And me? I'm a tall skinny-ish bloke (BMI ~25.5) and have been this way forever, so I haven't faced (weight-wise) what you all have !!

Post Thanks..

I fixed my ticker and signature info to reflect a little more clearly what I have done and what I am trying to do.

I am a stubborn person, Koh. I do appreciate what you are saying, you are probably right.

Once I start exercising and lifting, I hope to reach my other goals and maybe Cohen's is not the only way to get there.

I will seriously consider ordering refeed....I need a little more time to accept it.
