The Motivation Of The Half Way Mark!
G'Day
Yep, today I realised that I have now passed the Half Way Mark From here on in, it is all downhill racing! Cohens #3 was not so much to lose: 15.50 kilos, and today I have chalked up 7.90 kilos, so only 7.60 to go. So the question is: For those of you who have cleared the half way mark, did that moment
It would be interesting to hear whether the Half Way Mark triggered any 'Ah Ha!' moments for you Cheers Kristine

Re: The Motivation Of The Half Way Mark!
Hey Kristine, well done on reaching the half way mark! You must be very pleased with yourself!
How long did it take you? I need to lose the same as you and this is also my 3rd time on Cohens. I can't remember how i felt reaching half way 1st time on Cohens, so perhaps i didn't treat it as anything that significant? Sorry but it was two years ago... |

Re: The Motivation Of The Half Way Mark!
To be honest I dont think half way really registered with me, I think I am just so fixated on the end results and the scales moving each day, as I am a serial weigher, tut tut I know, but seeing the movement each day keeps me mega focused. There fore answer to your question "Neither - just another day, didn't take much notice"
Well done to you though on reacing halfway!! Its such a rewarding weightloss programme to be on

I found it exhilarating knowing I was in the home stretch

Re: The Motivation Of The Half Way Mark!
I actually went the opposite, hence why I'm back a second time. Once I hit half way I got complacent because I was feeling and looking so good. And thought, this is easy, I can have this, and I can have that. This time I'm going to aim for just another day and keep on trucking
Well done on making it half way, it is a great achievement! |

Re: The Motivation Of The Half Way Mark!
Unfortunately, I have to agree with Kirst. I got past half way, I was looking pretty good too, when life started throwing a few emotionally challenging obstacles my way, which I obviously was not prepared psychologically to deal with, and I thought I could give in to my emotions without too much damage happening, and started eating things I shouldn't have. Before I knew it I'm now up to 89 kgs - and my lowest was 74 kgs. I now know I will not take every kilo I lose for granted. So back to the drawing board for me. Sigh....

Re: The Motivation Of The Half Way Mark!
Interesting question Kristine!
i went both ways - was dismayed at the thought of how far I had to go but after moping for a bit, i buckled down and decided to go for the long haul. after all, i was halfway there. figured i might as well hit my goal.
