How much longer?
I'm happy with my size, but still have a bit of something (skin or fat not sure) around waist, I'm a few kg above target.
BUT I'm starving and constantly tempted to deviate (as in have another cracker, not eat pizza), I got my refeed about 6 weeks ago and was told it would become "less effective" after about 8 weeks (Singapore clinic), and I've had enough and want to get started on exercise etc. At the same time I'm worried that if I stop too soon my hormones won't have reset, and I might regret not building in a buffer later. What to do, lah (as they say in Singapore)? Not waking up early but having issues getting to sleep. No back ache, bt it was bad a few weeks ago. Could eat my arm off at times! Was thinking hang on until a week tomorrow (Friday weigh day).......... |

Re: How much longer?
Hi Yummy Mummy, I wish I could help you but I can't - I'm too far from this point still. However - just a thought - what is the weight range you were given? If you are close to the top and have a few of the other symptoms you're most likely ready???
How exciting! Good luck! |

Re: How much longer?
Hey FYM
The backache is not a refeed sign. Have you read the threads on when to start refeed? Lots in there... You could do refeed and then go back on plan if you want to lose some more.... I still have a skin flap around my belly but it is wobbly and loose - skin, not hard fat.... not sure if this helps... |

Re: How much longer?
Kenga: Goal is 60-63, so still a bit off.
Have consulted with some "graduates" and will try to hang on a bit longer for now. |

Re: How much longer?
Hey YM - hang in there! Can you fit in your wedding dress yet?
Maybe reading a few refeed diaries will give you the best idea what to expect/hope for. Oh, so close - you will do it! |

Re: How much longer?
I never got around to trying it, Kenga, as it's in a trunk in the garage at my parents' house back in the UK and there was that much crap in the garage (mine) that we couldn't get to it. I'll try it on when I go back at Xmas. However I was a size 18 then and I'm a 12-14 now so I'm confident it'll be too big!

Re: How much longer?
Hi FYM,
I'm quite a bit further out than you but have been feeling the need to snack - not go mad and eat a whole packet of chokkie biscuits but like you, an extra apple or a crispbread on occasions. I'm not nearly ready to do refeed but I'm going to ring the clinic on Monday and see if they have some suggestions. I'll let you know what they suggest for me. Clare |

Re: How much longer?
There are also some good tips in the "Tips and Tricks" section under 'really struggling' - I'm going to use them myself.

Re: How much longer?
Hi
I did email the clinic in the end and asked whether it's best to carry on withextra cracker/fruit if needed or stop early. Consultant said it was better to carry on to top of goal with extra crackers/fruit if needed. I'm limiting myself to when I REALLY need it though, like last night when I couldn't sleep because my tummy was rumbling! |

Re: How much longer?
Hi
Just leaping back in - Dr C used to say it was ok to add extra fruit or crackers but recently he changed that and you are no longer allowed to add the extra fruit and crackers. It is very recent so your clinics may not be aware yet.. Try mixing your meals up. Change Meal 3 to be lunch so it keeps you going a bit longer. If you are hungry after dinner, go to bed early (or save a piece of fruit for after dinner) Jlou |

Re: How much longer?
Oh dear.
Already have meal 3 for lunch most days, and fruit after dinner. And I'm suffering from insomnia so going to bed early won't do any good! |
