For the Ladies... the pill and period??
Hi all,
I need some help, I have re started my contraceptive pill as I am getting married in november (and I was hoping to use the pill to skip my period at this time) But since I have been on the pill, I have been getting my period more often (every 2 weeks!!) and can't skip it at all... what should I do?? Does anyone have any experience with other contraceptives that will enable me to skip my period (injections or implants??) I really don't want my period on our wedding day or honeymoon!!! I contacted the clinic and they said it should settle down in 3-4 months... I don't have 3-4 months to wait for it to settle... wedding in 3 months!!!! any feedback would be much appreciated! |

Re: For the Ladies... the pill and period??
I have been on the Pill for over 10 years and on my first month on Cohens my period just came when it wanted to, the pill seemed to have no effect in regards to my cycle. So I came of the pill. Probably not what you wanna hear, this was my experience. Cheers Maree

Re: For the Ladies... the pill and period??
I had the same problem with the pill when they put me on it. I used a pill called Yasmin. You can try that....I got told the same thing...just wait for 3-4 months who wants to do that?! Try talking to your doctor about Yasmin.

Yeah I use to get the same thing (off cohen's) and went and changed to Yasmin a while back now. Haven't had any issues from the day I started taking it...before cohen's and on cohen's. It is something about one of the hormone levels that makes you period come through. But go talk to your GP they are the only ones who can give you answers

What did your GP say? If you haven't been then that's where I recommend you start - everyone is different and everybodies experiences are different. Your GP will be the best person to speak with about it and make suggestions.
Good luck! |
