Default Pimples!

Oh my, I haven't had pimples since high school, but I'm at the end of day 4 and I have a mass of painful blind pimples on my chin, and one on my cheek.

Did anyone else experience this? Detox maybe? It's kind of horrifying!

My NYF Diary
Default Re: Pimples!

Hi Farmgirl - I have been struggling with pimples until late into my thirties, and the only way I could control it was to remain on a contraceptive pill. However, with Cohens (and a daily hair and nail supplement) I have been able to quit the pill for the first time at 37! I did have a new batch of small pimples (same as you're experiencing) in the past week or so, and first thought if was because of me introducing good fats in my diet (I'm in maintenance), but just realised now that TOM should be here any time now. So I'm gonna wait it out and see.

I do think that a major change in one's diet is the biggest culprit - and detox symptoms would also make sense. Don't stress too much about it at this stage, but consider taking supplements if you're not already doing so - zinc is also great.

I'm rattling with supplements, Not2Much, but hormones could be to blame. parkaralice, no oily food or weather changes here, although I do like homeopathy!

I put a clay mask on my pimples overnight, and this morning they are less swollen and angry. Fingers crossed they shall keep subsiding.

YES - I had really bad break out and headaches and dizziness in the first 1-2 weeks I started Cohen's. I have just started back on my EP and I am on day 5 today and I strated to break out yesterday and today. It is completely normal and it will go away by about 2 weeks and then your skin will be magnificnent!!!!

My skin has been amazing since I started using the aspect doctor range . That and a monthly microdermabrasion treatment . For the first time as an adult I have clear and calm skin

I've wondered about microdermabrasion. My skin is so bumpy and muddy. Does it hurt, fragglerocksta? I'm a big wuss!

Microdermabrasion doesnt hurt, I had a series of treatments for my wedding back in 2007, not too bad just stay out of the sun for however long they recommend after and use the products they recommend to use so your skin repairs properly after.

Yup more of a scratching sensation ... your therapist wants to keep you as a client ... so shouldn't be too rough

I dont ever get black heads and pores smaller no dirt can stay on your face ir penetrate pores. I only get one hormonal lone pimple now with Tom

Okay, I am so buying that St Ives scrub for now, and when I'm 10kg down I'll treat myself to some microdermabrasion if the St Ives hasn't done the trick. Thanks for all your advice
