Default Lookee here.... there are Gems aplenty!

Hi all,
Particularly all you new ones. Cohens just keeps on, doesn't it? Doing so much good for so many people. But it is DIFFERENT, yeah?

Way different to "the accepted norm" - and that can lead you into trouble if you aren't careful.

You know those sayings from friends and family:-

"Oh, you CAN'T lose weight without exercising!"

"Staying slim is all energy in versus energy out" (if ONLY it were that simple, eh?)

"Don't lose too much more - you'll fade away" (Um, yeah, but will you PLEASE at least let me get below "Overweight" before you start saying that).

"You can't live on that tiny amount of food!" (Yes you can - the rest of your energy each day comes from the stored fat - and it goes as you use it up - awesome, eh?)

Yes, this IS so way different that well-meaning others can "talk you out of it if you let them." So, how can you prevent that? Simple - read on....

The early graduates of the Cohens left a lot of signposts in here, talked of a thousand things and left a heap of clues, answers, encouragement, etc.

Like today, an absolute GEM from Shanara from 2009 is sitting waiting for you, and it talks all about what I referred to above. She questions herself, and adds useful comments re "others and their comments".

To find that thread, first go here:-
http://newyouforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9170

That is in the forum section called "Koh's Classics". If you have been there before, great - always good for a refresher though eh?

Once there, click on the "Important Stuff" thread. Shanara's post is #18 in the Index (the first post of that thread). Do check ALL the other good stuff that is in that thread too - who knows, but the answer you need RIGHT NOW might be sitting there waiting for you to FIND IT.

And if you got a heap of good stuff out of that thread, DO pop a reply in this one to keep it on the first page. (That is what "Bump" means if you see it used anywhere - it is a post that does nothing else other than to put the thread back onto "page 1" so new readers might find it again).

Here is some of what Shanara said in that thread:-
Quote:
I was ecstatic when it worked for me - and spectacularly - beyond my wildest dreams! I would like to encourage people to just do the programme and stop trying to question everything. If it works for you also - wonderful. If not then that is the time to question.

I also decided to put on hold everything I thought I knew about nutrition and just allow that maybe there was another way - different from what many others advocate.
So go and just do it too - may it work for you as it did for her - in her case, she shed some amount like way over 50Kgs (as did Shell, Faithy, Asy, and a heap of others in the HOF - the NewYou Hall Of Fame).

Rock on,

Koh

And me? I'm a tall skinny-ish bloke (BMI ~25.5) and have been this way forever, so I haven't faced (weight-wise) what you all have !!
