Single Dieter seeks good Food Processor...view to culinary success.

Hi All,
I'm thinking what I need in my life right now is a good food processor.
What I want is something to process herbs, onion ,chilli etc very finely , so I can get more bang for my buck out of my allowance.
If the thing can grind coffee, spices and ice ....I will probably marry it and live happily ever after.
I don't want any of those huge bulky turbo charged things with more pieces than a jigsaw requiring a uni degree in engineering to operate. It has to do things REALLY FINELY though.
Does anyone have my dream machine and / or know where I can get one ????

Asy, they are German, high quality stainless steel, no moving parts (work on electromagnetism), so virtually never break down, last at least 20 years; incredibly powerful (easily grind up ice cubes). The blades (one set only, easy to remove and put back, but you hardly ever need to) never need sharpening. There are inbuilt scales and timer. It can replace virtually every food preparation appliance in your kitchen (not the oven or grill). Sophisticated temperature control, no need to stand and stir anything. Recipe instructions are so simple that partners and older children can follow them. To clean, it's usually enough to add some water, turn it on for a few seconds, rinse and dry, and you can even drop the teatowel in and turn it on slowly and it will dry itself. Are you getting the picture re cost?

I use mine multiple times each day. I've pretty much given up using the stove hotplates and the microwave, and haven't used any of the electrical appliances in months. In terms of cost per use, it's working its way to being the cheapest item in the kitchen. Andy and his wife also have one, and they are as enthusiastic as I am.

They can be purchased from $14 a week via a finance company, usual high interest, but many families can save more than the $14 a week by making things they would otherwise buy. I like being able to make almost anything with no additives, e.g. mayonnaise is easy, sauces, dips in seconds, etc.

Okay, the price. Sit down first. It's almost $2,000. However, if you are at all interested, it's definitely worth seeing a demonstration. Invite in a few friends and a consultant will cook six dishes for you that show the versatility of the machine. It's not a hard sell demo; if no one buys one, there's no pressure, and there aren't a range of cheaper items for sale. As I said earlier, the finance option is definitely worth considering.
