Default bride2be's diary

Hi All,

I'm expecting to get my program in the next few days and I'm pretty nervous, despite looking at all the positive results on this forum, I'm a little worried that it won't work for me, however, I really desperatley want to lose weight and feel good about myself again (not to mention look gret on my wedding day next year!) so I am really committed to sticking to the program and giving it the best shot that I can. I currently weigh 94.9kg and this is teh heaviest I have ever been, I feel disgusting and I'm really really hoping that Cohen's will work for me! I can't wait to start seeing results.

Bride2Be.

HI Bride to be

Welcome to the forum. What a clever girl you are. I am looking into my crystal ball and see a very radiant, thin, beauitful bride feeling so good about herself as she walks down the aisle sending prayers to Dr Cohen saying thank you for showing me how to not only get to my dream weight but also showing me how to keep it there.

You have given yourself plenty of time and if you committ and stick to the programme only one outcome is possible. Well done. Yep, can understand the nerves - think most of us in here have had the same.

In the meantime you may want to check out this thread and begin to cut out things from your eating.

Take some time to browse this site - particularly the new members section as there is a wealth of experience and knowledge as well as lots of wisdom.

Great decision Bride to be. Don't forget to apply for a diary when you have your Cohens number.

Looking forward to getting to know you
Shanara

Yay! I have a diary.. well I have just completed my first three days as a 'cohenite?' and to be honest I felt pretty crappy over the last few days... a horrible combination of hunger, exhaustion from uni and work, PMS and a headache that won't go away. My boss was getting quite annoyed at me by the end of the day cause I kept having to go to the toliet from drinking so much water- she actually told me to stop drinking so much and I told her that I had strict instruction from the doctor to drink at least 2-3 litres a day, so that shut her up ...

Despite all my whingy complaints, I'm feeling quite upbeat!!! and I'm really looking forward to seeing results cause I know that they're gonna come which makes all my complaints worth it .... I'm really looking forward to going clothes shopping with my two best friends who are sizes 6 and 10 and actually being able to shop in the same store as them!!!!!! They are pretty excited for me too, I feel so lucky to have people who are really supportive of me joining Cohens.

Well I've posted some before pics in the photos section so check them out- thats me, not as I like it, but thats soon to be changed- I just know it!!!!

xxx Bride2be and soon to be shrinking!

Hello B2B,

Welcome to the forum. Good choice made to embark on this journey. You'll find that you'll not regret at all if you stick fast and hard onto it.

My only regret is not having found this out earlier. Well, go read up the many diaries on this site and you'll find that your journey is a much smoother one. This forum is the 2nd BEST thing that I've found out this year after Cohen programme .

All the BEST dear AND I want to see a beautiful and radiant bride next year. Will I be invited to the wedding? Hehehehe.

Welcome to the forum, B2B! Congratulations on taking the first step in regaining control of your weight! The first few days can be a bit rough, but the detox symptoms will be gone soon, and you'll hit the zone and you'll be done and dusted before you know it!
Good on you for standing your ground with your boss! The 'doctor's orders' works really well in a lot of situations, especially when people start doing the whole 'you should stop losing weight now' - and trust me, those remarks will come sooner than you think!
I look forward to hearing more about your journey!

Hi Guys!

Thanks for the welcome and the support. I'm finding this forum to be a little addictive, there is so much good stuff on here!

Day 4: Feeling pretty good. I'm not feeling as hungry as the first three days and the headache has gone away (YAY!)

Well I should stop procrastinating and return to my Uni work

You'll have the most lovely suprise at your first weigh in no doubt! It's always the best feeling when people are telling you they can notice the difference

Default Day 15

Helllllloooo Mette & Doing it for me!!!
Yes My friends are absolute gems, I'm very very lucky to have them!!

Day 15: two weeks down. This past week I lost 5cm in total, which isn't as good as my first week centimetre loss, but I know that that is probably to be expected. Regardless of the amount any loss is a good loss as its better than none at all.

I found the week again pretty easy to cope with, I wasn't hungry and after day 10 I stopped eating my full crispbread allowance as I didn't feel I needed them and wasn't hungry enough to bother eating them.

I can't imagine not eating my crispbreads... I've been reassured that this will not impact my weight loss, and so, rather than finding myself hungry in a place with no crackers and only lardy lardy food I've been eating them! In fact, I think I'll pop off and have an apple for desert

You've had some great losses in the cm department, I think I'm still only like 20something and I'm almost at week 6.

Just remember, like you have said above, any loss is a great loss, and you are already smaller than you were 15 days ago, and your body, not to mention you, should be loving every single second of it, or should that be gram

Enjoy your weekend

Smile Week 3!!

WOW! I can't believe that I've been doing Cohens for three weeks already, its gone soooo fast!! This week was a little more difficult with my meals as I had heaps of rehearsals throughout the week and had to make sure that I remembered to bring my meals with me, but it worked out fine, except for the day I brought my beef meal with me... I now know that I detest cold beef.

I am really happy with my centimetres loss this week- 13.5cm! which is the same as my first two weeks combined, so that put a huge smile on my face!!

Now that I am finally aware that I am allowed garlic and chilli, I have started to add a little bit to some of my meals and yesterday I had the most delicious prawns which I marinated in chili, garlic, onion & white wine vinegar with a side of zucchini, asparagus and green capsicum- it tasted soooooooooooooooooooo good!!!!!!! Pity prawns are a littel pricy or I would have them more often! I want to start experimenting with my meals a little bit more instead of just doing teh same boring thing every night and I'm hoping that seeing as I will be on holidays soon I'll ahve more time to do that!

Only one week til I weigh in.... I'm really hoping I have a good weightloss.

Hi B2B,

Sounds like you are cruising into the "zone" now. This is the BEST time when everything starts to turn out beautifully - losses / skin condition / energy peak etc.

All the best lady and waiting to hear more good losses from you. Keep up the fantastic job

Sounds like you are in the similar situation as me B2b because i am too getting married next year ...when are you getting married? We both started in the 90 kgs mark + we lost exactly the same amount of weight at the 4 week mark. Are you finding that you are more excited about planning the wedding since the weight loss because you know you'll look like you've always dreamed of on your wedding day?

I'm looking forward to seeing some photo's on your progress!

As FlaMie said, sounds like you are in the groove of it now B2B!!

I can't believe how quick the cm's are falling off you, your kicking my bum in that department!

Good luck for the weigh in, although from your cm loss, i'm starting to think that you won't need it!~

Hey Doing it for me and Flamie!

I know I can't believe how much I've lost in the centimetres department! I'm so happy with it (fingers crossed for a good weigh in!) and I feel very into the swing of it, my only problem is being very very cold all the time which I'm not enjoying, I currently feel like an icy pole.

4 week weigh in results.. I lost 9.9kg- YAY!!! I am really happy with the result, but at the same time I'm disappointed as well (not because I don't think its good) but because I thought that based on my measurements I may have lost a little more than that.. but at the end of the day I would rather lose centimeters and not worry about the scales. I have measured myself this week yet but I'm feeling really good about it... The jeans I use to wear all the time (cause they were the only ones I had that fit me without a ridicoulous muffin top) are very uncomfortable now as they are too baggy, they make my butt look saggy and they fall down too much... YAY YAY!! I never thought I would be glad to say that my jeans don't fit me!!

B2B... are you kidding me girl! 9.9 is MASSIVE!!!
I know I sure would have loved to have lost that much! Just think, 4 short weeks ago you weighed 9.9kgs more than you do now!
Do me a favour, pick up 2 5kg bags of potatoes when you are at the store next, and then you will realise just what a FANTASTIC acheivement you have had over the past 4 weeks!!
