Default 4 Week Team Challenge - Aussie v Rest of The World

Hey folks, how about some team motivation?

I reckon this will be a good challenge as we won't just be accountable to ourselves but also to our team mates

It's Australia V Rest Of The World (defined by your main nationality rather than where you are based). As we are outnumbered by Aussies on here, we need as many on the ROTW team as possible so any joint nationalities....please we need you!!

So let's start as of yesterday's weigh-in as our starting points and report back every Monday as usual (or Sunday if that's your weigh-in date). This time there's no 10 kg goal, instead we'll be looking at the weekly team average, so the better you do the better the team will do.

Well, I'm obviously part of the ROTW team (Scottish) so please state your nationality in your starting weight, and sign-up, it'll be fun!

I'll start.

Marc
ROTW (Scotland)
Weighing in at: 78.9 Kg
Wk 1 Loss:
Wk 2 Loss:
Wk 3 Loss:
Wk 4 Loss:
Total Loss:

Good luck all! Especially ROTW'ers

Hi Marc,

It's a "Rugby League" thing (you might not even know what Rugby League is - omg, where do I start? ) Think Rugby - that's close enough.

The "State of Origin" (SoO) was a marketing ploy that was brilliant. Three games per year (June/July) - and "Origin" is the key. So, someone who FIRST played in Queensland (even if now in a NSW team) becomes a Queensland player for "State of Origin" matches.

So, current "mates" end up pitted against "mates" - but only for Origin.

Marc, for MOST of the year, I couldn't give a tinker's damn for Rugby League - but, at "State of Origin" time, the emotions ROAR !!! On, and off, the field. There's just something about it.

Anyway, it was a passing thought... sorry !! I should have said "Country of Origin" - might've made more sense But then, my emotions wouldn't have been quite so "dramatic"

Koh

Thanks for explaining Koh. Of course I know Rugby League, without offending anyone, let's just say, well..it's not as good as Union. However, I've mucked around playing it a few times. But I do get the S.O.O concept - very cool actually!
