Default thoughts on a new plan...?

hi guys

so ive been on here since feb, finished refeed at 61.4 and am now chilling at about the 64kg, was at 63kg for the most part of the last few months but now sitting a little higher.

ive gone back on plan for several days at a time, several times, and the last time i only lost 200g a day whereas normally its about 500-700g for the first few days..

im wondering if i should get a new plan?! as i would love to get down to my lowest goal of 59kg and that is a 5kg loss from where i am now.

on my old plan it will be very slow and tedious as my body chemistry is different now as it was when i started.

its a lot of money for 5kg but i am starting to think its the only thing that will get me down to my goal.

i would not be on the new plan for very long, 4-5kg will be gone in as many weeks if not less (first time round i lost 8kg in 5 wks) so plan plus refeed will be about 5wks im guessing.. and then i will no longer be over goal (a lot of my stressing and obsessing came merely from the fact that i finished too high in the goal range and never had a comfortable safe range to play with).

sooooo what do ya all think?? i would so appreciate it. i can maintain my weight as i have been for the last few months, but being lower would be much better for me.

thanksssss
xxx

are you in a hurry to get to your lowest weight? Can you afford to pay for a new plan?

I think if you can afford to wait, might as well stick to the old plan.

Hi Hopeful, i wanted to reply to you yesterday but didnt get time back on the computer! Busy girl!

Anyway, hear are my thoughts if you are still interested! Lets start with Dr Cohen (and forgive me for telling you something you already know but sometimes we need a new angle!) the good Doc advises a new program if your weight has gone 5kg above goal. You dont seem to be in that category so yr old program should do it.

Now to i think the MOST important point. Forget how much weight you lost before in first few days, forget what anyone else loses, make it all about you and what yr body can manage this time. I say this from experience of trying, losing slowly and giving up for over a year! Now I do have a new program yes, but thats cos I didnt do refeed properly last time (you did) my weight went up by over 10kg and i needed a fresh start.

Now to my first week with new program. OK in my diary end week 1 (yesterday) i posted my 2.3kg loss for week one (had already lost with my OLD program before that) but when i went to the clinic, albeit after lunch, lots of water etc etc - their scales came up with 1.6kg for week one! My consultant was DELIGHTED for me, said, very good looks like yr hormones have kicked in, thats enough for week one as you dont have a lot to lose (normal BMI like you!) and - this is the best bit - she said "you will lose even more on week 2 and 3 and feel even better" (hard to believe as i feel so good!).

So, rant rave, i do go on but ..... bottom line ... make this about you, your life, your future, NOT a quick fix, enjoy every day back on plan, trust me, when you are like me back in the zone after over a year in the wilderness of getting fatter, the Cohens weight loss program feels like coming home.

Heres a challenge for you. Why not join me you with yr old program, me with my new and you might lose those kg quicker than me! I dont mind, i am in this to succeed elegantly and with style! Miss Maggie

Hope_ful,

You also need to remember people with less to lose tend to lose more slowly as well. so your 5 weeks total may not be acheivable, even with a new plan. As Miss Maggie so elequently put it .. it's what YOUR body decides to do.

hey ladies

thanks miss maggie, i think i will join you!! after spking with my consultant we decided i would try my old plan for 7-10 days and weigh in only at the end..

hi connie, yes i know it would def be slower as i am very close to goal, less than 2kg, so losses would be slower, and after thinking about it its very silly to get a new plan when i have my old one which should work, i just need to be patient!

i just had breakfast and im studying all day, which keeps my mind off food!!

i do think i will lose it on the old plan but maybe the first few days will be slow so thats why im not weighing in til the end!!

thnks for your advice guys
xx

I am considering new plan, too, Hopeful. Not sure yet...I posted about it in my diary.

I am watching Pandora's progress and it looks good. I may do it to get back down and then follow the maint. rules this time.

Good luck to you, too.
