CB, I think the timing is spot on - better sign me up! Accountability is what I need now, so lets go!

Thank you for taking up the gauntlet to coordinate this challenge; we all appreciate it.

So far we have me, Jessica, RG, Dezzy, Jaycee, Ciors.

Nice work ladies! Looking forward to the 1st when we can kick this into action.

It's just the focus we all need and as always, some will lose fast and some will lose slow! It's not a race, we will all get there in our own time.

While a 5kg loss would be my lower than end of refeed weight, I am in for this challenge. I have gained a couple of kg's over my comfort weight over the past week or so, have replaced my water with wine so need to refind my pre Christmas rhythm of not drinking alcohol during the week as I do enjoy a glass or two of wine in the weekend still. Need to get back into the habit of drinking 2l of water daily.

I am still a little undecided how I will go about the challenge as I am still doing quite a bit of exercise so know that I can't go back to plan as I need to keep the exercise up. I might look at doing a reset and then back to weighing end of refeed quantities. I find that I need to eat carbs as I have found that if don't, then I end up eating what i shouldn't. I have visited the gym a couple of time in the past week along with my daily bike ride - but unfortunately have undone the good by still eating Christmas treats ie cake, nice cheeses etc.

I am interested in how other people cope with exercise/quantities/carbs etc. Also, I understand that muscle weighs heavier than fat therefore is it realistic to weigh the same as end of refeed/no exercise to when you are exercising daily.

Hi WB. When I was exercising I did get the hungries so I adjusted and walked later so that I got home just in time to cook & eat my evening meal. That took care of bit for me. I didn't get into any sort of stable routine to find any trend yo weight with muscle ...

so my reset did not happen the other day - 1 perfect day & then bang !

So here I am new years day - ready for a 5 kg challenge . I exercise daily run 5 or walk 10 k's so wont go back on plan but will do the end of refeed ammounts . I'm going to try my work pants on later - I feel sure that after a week of eating carte blanch they will be snug & I'm back to work on monday so may have time to repair some damage lol

I have observed that my sleeping has been poor , my energy is decreased , I have random aches & pains , spots & generally feeling negative with my eat fest - really ready for routine , clean foods , water , feeling great & feeling more slim

bring it on !!! PMA positive mental attitude !!!!!

Lost 1kg = 70.8kg ... date ?
Lost 1kg = 69.8kg ... date ?
Lost 1kg = 68.8kg ... date ?
Lost 1kg = 67.8kg ... date ?
Lost 1kg = 66.8kg ... date ?

Good luck everyone! Remember it is a journey not a race!!

I thought that once in maintenance I wouldn't need any more (of these) challenges; how wrong I was. They're a great tool to recapture or maintain focus and I think that I will keep participating when I get myself sorted again.

Starting weight 72.0

Happy new year! Happy new challenge!

Start weight this morning is 67.3kg.

I'll have to work out how to add some kind of chart for this..... Hmmmm.

DONE- no idea how to pinch someone else's so I made my own and changed the word 'lost' to 'gone'. Lost insinuates that it could be found! Gone is....gone
Works for me lol.
Ooh, we get something for participating? How exciting

Another edit- imagine being 62.3kg at the end of this. I'm almost bursting with excitement and anticipation of that day!

Ready and rearing to go....yeeeeeha! Back into nice clean Cohen living

Oh Jess, I'd be looking for a winner, but I think OzROCKET is doing this too and his name suits him, lol

starting at - 70.5kg
Lost 1kg = 69.5kg ... date ?
Lost 1kg = 68.5kg ... date ?
Lost 1kg = 67.5kg ... date ?
Lost 1kg = 66.5kg ... date ? (best refeed weight)
Lost 1kg = 65.5kg ... date ? (see how I go with that)

I'm in! I certainly need a challenge and the support to do what I need to do and do it NOW. Great Idea. Here goes. I had already started a few days ago and lost 2 kilos but put weight down as of today. I too copied the chart, I am sure no one will mind. Happy New Year everybody. This challenge will be over before we know it!!! If we keep doing what we were doing we will keep getting what we were getting.................weight gain. Time to make a radical change. So easy to fall back into old habits isn't it? My clinic once told me that "NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS BEING THIN FEELS"! Isn't that the truth! I want that feeling back.

starting at - 76.3kg (YIKES) 1-1-2013
Lost 1kg = 75.3kg ... date ?
Lost 1kg = 74.3kg ... date ?
Lost 1kg = 73.3kg ... date ?
Lost 1kg = 72.3kg ... date ?
Lost 1kg = 71.3kg ... date? (now that I am on a roll I will keep going until goal weight is reached)
