How do you do refeed when on holiday? How do you handle the daily changes in the amounts of food? Maybe you should call your clinic to ask what you should do.

Hi U21,
Quote:
During Refeed, you might have gained some insights already re "foods to beware of", but then Refeed is nowhere near long enough to be able to test every food "out there". So, we usually say "Take baby steps into Maintenance!" i.e. Don't try to eat everything as soon as you get into Maintenance - instead, try one "new food" over a couple of days and watch for damage. If none, move on to the next "new food" Re what to do right now, first sit down and breathe deeply - it is unlikely that there will be much damage done. Make a cuppa, then sit down and have a good, long read of this topic:- http://newyouforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6408 As you will see, there have been MANY posters (including many Maintainers) all putting in their thoughts. By reading through it, you should come to the conclusion that a Reset is usually all that is required to come right again. You appear to be alert, so good for you, U21. Continue to "Be alert, not alarmed" and keep yourself safe from damaging foods just by being careful. But if life happens, and you find yourself in a similar situation, then use your Maintenance Guidelines to come right again - i.e. Reset first. 2Kg is not the end of the world either - allow yourself a range for your weight to move in (i.e. DON'T be tied to a particular goal weight). Your cycle might have you gain a Kg or two throughout a month, then dropping it again. So, allow for this by choosing a range - staying within it is good, and going outside it is "Time for action!". So, you might say "I finished Refeed on xxKg - I will allow myself a range between xx and xx+2 (e.g. 61 to 63 Kgs, if 61 was your goal weight). If you go over 63Kg and nothing unusual is happening (i.e. your TOM) then think about doing a Reset. Hope that helps, Koh
