Thumbs up Hervey Bay Shrinker's Diary

I have been doing Cohens for almost 9 weeks now and have lost 18kg to date. I have not deviated at all, and am finding it very easy to follow. I find it is easy when you are organised and thinking ahead so that you have your meals either prepared earlier or know exactly what you are going to be eating for the next meal. My weight loss has started to slow down now, so I am not loosing as much as I was earlier on, but the comments I am getting from other people are very encouraging and it really makes you even more determined. This program is great and the easiest diet I have ever been on. I don't feel hungry at all and don't even find myself even thinking about food, infact I have to remind myself to eat at mealtimes as I am not hungry most of the time. My workplace often celebrates birthdays etc and all sorts of goodies sit on the tea room table but as long as I have my apple, I don't even crave what is on offer. I hope everyone does well on the program, and I look forward to talking to you again soon. I am trying to get a group together in Hervey Bay and surrounds for social gatherings so see the get together section for more information if you live in this area.

Thumbs up

Welcome HBS!!
Congrats on great losses for your 9 weeks of being on the program! It's wonderful when you get the lovely comments, and it is so motivating as well!
You have so got your head in the right place, and you are so right about it all being about planning and having strategies in place!

Keep up the great work!!

Vee

Welcome, HBS. You sound like you're similar to me. I've never been tempted and have found the diet easy, although I'm certainly ready for the end of it by now. You've had great losses so far. Well done.

Back again for the support. Still think the diet and the forum are the best ever, but too old to do it again. Now losing again slowly on maintenance diet. Ticker shows next intermediate goal only (5 kilos).

Hey HBS,

You are doing REALLY well !! Many would kill for such results

This sounds like the start of a Diary. If you don't already HAVE a diary, we can make this yours, and move it into the Diary pages.

Would you like me to do this?

If we do this, I'd change the title from "Hi there from a HB newy" to "Hervey Bay Shrinker's Diary".

Waddaya reckon? Let me know - here, or PM - either way,

Koh

Talking

Thanks for all the support guys, I really appriciate it. I have been shopping for the many visotors I will be getting over the next few weeks fo the school holidays, however my daughter and I are determined to keep the zero deviation rule in place. We have spoken about our staterigies and I am certain it is going to be OK!!! Diet coke in a wine glass will work just as well, and I will keep my saladas for nibbles. Meals are going to be mostly BBQ buffett style, so that will work well for us.

I look forward to hearing from you all.

Hervey Bay Shrinker.

Cool

My visitors arrived last night and my daughter and I are doing well. I prepared a buffet style BBQ for my guests last night and we had our weighed out rib fillet and salad so still enjoyed the BBQ atmosphere without the guilt. Instead of sitting around drinking wine after dinner, we played board games, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and I think we will do it again tonight! We are having a curry tonight (the thick one I have posted on the receipes and tips section), I am sure they will be happy with it as my husband and other daughter who are not on the program love it!

Well done on the BBQ! I have discovered this week that it is possible to work Cohen's around your life, and that's it really not that hard.

Gee, 18kg. That's some serious weight. Bring it on for me I say, I can't weight/wait!!

Hey HBS!

Still going great I see, that is fantastic!
Being successful is all about planning and being organised and having those strategies in place. Sooooooooo glad to see that you have all 3 covered so well!

Enjoy your visitors and keep doing so well!!

I hope you've had an enjoyable time with your visitors, HBS. Yes, it is possible to be on Cohen's and live a normal life.

My visitors have now departed and we had a great time catching up. An old work mate is coming to Hervey Bay tomorrow for a couple of days, and we are going to catch up over dinner. I plan on ordering a chicken salad and taking my own caffeine free diet coke. Will let everyone know how it went. I am still looking for people who may be intersted in catching up in the Hervey Bay/ Maryborough area of QLD. A couple of girls at work are thinking of joining the program so we should have a nice group of people if we can get a few more. If you are interested message me through the forum message system. I look forward to reading everyones diarys, and love this site!

Smile My night at a restaurant

I had a great time with my friend who I have not seen for quite some time last night. I was successful with no deviation at the restaurant by taking my diet cokes in a wine cooler bag and drinking it out of a wine glass. I was planning on ordering a chicken salad, but unfortunatley the restaurant did not do just a grilled chicken (it had been marinated etc), SO- I chose a grilled rump steak 300gm and ate approximately 1/3 of it and a green salad on the side which the portion looked pretty much the amount I usually eat when preparing salad. I requested that there be no sauce or dressing, so was pretty happy by not deviating but still having a great evening. It is possible to enjoy a night out guilt free.

Good work on staying d-free, HBS! That's excellent! I'm glad you had a good night. It's so important to have good days like that where you feel 'normal', if that makes sense.

Thumbs up I have two tickers

I added another ticker tonight on Koh's advice as I could not change my ticker weights as the pin/ password was not working for me. Does anyone have any ideas how to delete the first ticker I established? If not please disregard the fireworks and look at the ocean!!! I am almost half way, I am so happy with my results so far, and look forward to what is to come. My daughter is doing really well also having lost 16kg to date. As a 15 year old girl, her confidence has just expolded. We are going to be the new slim family very soon, as my husband and other daughter are like sticks already (without dieting- lucky things).
