Re: I have begun my journey to a new ME!
Hi Sangi,
I recall reading something about this !! Quote:
Programme alterations - please read In there, she says "Shrimps are now allowed". How that goes with you, I don't know - I'll leave that to others who have more knowledge - i.e. "if it is not on your program....." etc. Does Doc Cohen says "Shrimps for one person and prawns for another?" Might be one to ask your clinic, or maybe our members can shed some light.... Anyway, I just wanted to bring that "Alteration" thread to your knowledge, Koh

Re: I have begun my journey to a new ME!
Thanks Koh,
checked the thread. But still confused. I remember the clinic telling me that shrimps was the small prawns. Anyway i'll go to the wet market to pick out fresh prawns, or better still avoid them. |

Re: I have begun my journey to a new ME!
That's the best way. Buy the fresh grey prawns (ntuc also can) Then dehead & deshell them raw (they peel easily raw not like the suckers in the US). Once they have been deheaded & shelled (including the last bit that the local always seem to leave on (the last joint with the tailfins) You don't want them to interfere with you weightsq! Every gram counts! Then drain and weigh to allowance, bag & freeze. (Word of advice, submerge them in water in the baggie (after weighing) that way they don't get freezer burnt. Seafood hand from way back!
Of course, if you've got the budget, you can spring for the Tiger Prawns!

Re: I have begun my journey to a new ME!
Shark is definitely allowed even in my programme.
I was given and stated clearly 11 months to lose my weight of 33kg but I completed that in just less than 8 months (refeed and all). The extra 2 months I believe is the consideration factor in for deviation. So, if you don't deviate, honestly you shouldn't, you'd lose a LOT faster! What kept me focused? I kept telling myself not to deviate because 11 months seem too long so I was pretty disciplined hehehe. |

Re: I have begun my journey to a new ME!
forget about the shrimps - too small to eat any way and not shiok hahahaha. Just eat the grey / tiger prawns.
Oh btw, glad that there's another Singapore Cohenite on the way! We have a Singapore Cohen gathering next Saturday afternoon and wonder if you would be keen to join us? You can meet a couple of us on this forum - SMS / Fornight / FYM / myself and a few others! Nice to have more to share their experience with.

I am trying very hard to eat my allowance of fruit and crispbread. but somehow am not able to fulfill the entire allowance .it states in my programme that i must eat my fruit and crispbread allowance the first 10 days on the programme. What do i do?
today is the 6th day for me.and i haven't eaten any fruit at all. i feel quite full on my main meals itself. |

wow. that's amazing! I am sad when my cracker and fruit allowance is done for the day. However I find that eating crackers is quite hard because it just makes me want to have another one, and another one (but drinking water after helps!).

Re: I have begun my journey to a new ME!
Hi Sangi,
As Asy says "Do the most important things first, even if it means something else must wait, or even 'drop off' the list - here's Asy :- http://newyouforum.com/forum/showpost.php?p=226892&postcount=2 As you can see, eating all of your set meals is top of the list in importance, even if it means eating late, etc. Have a read, and do come back if you have further questions, Koh

Quote:
I was full as well the whole time I was on the programme. I actually consumed more during the programme that I normally consumed before the programme (but the difference was what & when I ate).

Re: I have begun my journey to a new ME!
Hi
Re shrimps: my consultant said that small prawns (shrimps) are OK, but not the really small, dried ones that you get in belachan (sp?) etc. You can get low fat mozzarella in Tanglin Marketplace, white bag, begins with "E" (can't remember!). |
