Re: The quest for Caro!
But a wonderful dinner, made to my specs - crispy skinned fish, baked not fried, no chickpeas and chorizo, thanks and a green salad with a vinegarette on the side (so I could check it out first), please leave the wineglass and I will have my mineral water in it, thankyou and coffee to finish. And great service all night! Maybe it was because they felt sorry for me but I choose to think it's because it's a nice place. And the company - outstanding........... wherever you are in your journey always remember that you are important, what you're doing is important and treating yourself well is the most important. It takes guts to change your lifestyle........... and that's what you are doing!!! |

Re: The quest for Caro!
I do have a princess complex don't I.......... I have spent a lot of time being unhappy with myself and that has made me unhappy with everyone else - you know the saying "To love someone else you have to love yourself first" I have worked really hard on where I am mentally and I am really liking the whole being my own best friend!
But another little experiment - inspired by a good friend who makes me think laterally - dare you to try it........... Say hello to everyone wearing a name tag - you get some great conversations and meet some very interesting people. I did this yesterday in the Mall and it was fun. And we all need more of that in our lives - and you never know you just might make someone's day! And yes I am afraid I have shopaholic written on my forehead!!!!! |

Re: The quest for Caro!
Wow Caro. Really inspired by your night out by yourself story. What a fantastic thing to do and to appreciate yourself and your own company.
Instictive reaction for me was 'I could never do that' but will need to think about that a bit more and ask myself why? Love your diary, your vitality and your shopping antics!!! ff |

Caro, you're amazing. I'm not yet brave enough to go out by myself but I hope to get there sometime during my journey.

Wow C-Jaye, great couple of entries there. I'm glad you had a great night out and enjoyed your dinner. There are some powerful diary entries floating about at the moment and yours is one of them. You have made great points about being kind to yourself, something to think about.
I hope you have a great weekend and a great loss for the week C-Jay, your going so well on your quest for Caro! Well done Lisa |

Re: The quest for Caro!
OMG Nixy and the Nametage Guy - AWESOME!
Well the last couple of days has been busy busy busy! Shopping - WHO KNEW - but not really buying much - but did spend a fab couple of hours with a girlfriend searching for the perfect lipstick shade............ a girls thing, what can I say....... But this morning I saw a friend who thought it would be funny to pick me up, at first I feared that it would cause mortal harm - but you know what - it felt kinda fun - I am 75% through my program and I am loving where I am and I am really looking forward to the rest of the quest. It was great chatting to Nix - who are we now that the extra weight is gone - I am me - and sometimes I realise that I don't really know myself at all but I am having fun finding out about me. Some people have said to me "you're different, you've changed who you are" my answer "Nope just changing back into my real self". So be true to yourself - try not to hurt others doing that, but if you do, you can only apologise and stay true.......... life is short, live, laugh, love........................

Re: The quest for Caro!
Ahhhh McPsych - you always know what I need to hear - except for the whips, chains and turtles - noone needs to hear that stuff..........
So I bought the most expensive dress since Princess Caro started on the dress buying frenzy - but can you believe that Target charge almost $40 for a dress - pretty as it may be St Vincenzo's are giving them away for an $8 donation......... and no chance of duplicate outfits showing up unexpectedly!!! So apart from the no scales thing - I think my measurements have dropped a little more but I'm not using my regular tape measure so I will double check when I get home on the weekend - but finding it really easy to stay on plan - even with all the dinners out - honestly everyone - call ahead, check out menus on line, pop in and talk to the venue - they only want people to have a great time and enjoy the experience. And speaking of that - when you take food and alcohol out of the equation - it is amazing how much more you put into conversations and the people around you. And thats what it's all about after all............. Life is to be enjoyed......... get out there and start! |
