Re: CB's Diary
L - love the idea of glam gran! Thx for the chuckle. I think for me too much water would be more than 3.5 to 4 litres. I feel ok about 3 litres as I feel I need that. Then some days a bit more if I have been walking in the sun. It's hot here at the mo and I do feel thirsty and drinking a bit more than 3 every day I think. 2.5 is definitely not enough for me. But this may be different in winter. Feeling very good indeed. Really, really loving the clean eating. And so is the rest of the family. This morning we all had yogurt, cinnamon and a nice juicy peach. I don't find yogurt enough normally, but it worked today. Later we stopped for long blacks and the boys had toasted banana bread and butter. It looked great but I wasn't tempted. Really pleased with my head space around self care. I do think the diary is helping that. I am also planning some photos which I think will keep me very real around why I want to get to 60kgs. Love long weekends!

Day 14
All going really well. In the rhythm and ready for tomorrow's weigh in. Get a bit edgy - kids say grumply - n the hour or so before meals, but ok with this. Good to know I am hungry. Having a white fish for dinner. Typically don't find this as satisfying as chicken or meat, but will give it a go. Nice to have options. All good!

Re: CB's Diary
Well down another 1.2, which delivers a weekly average I am happy with. If I can do an av 1.2 for the next 10 weeks, will be very happy. Feel a bit thinner and will try to find a tape measure for my waist.
Am having prawn cocktail cohen style for lunch. Happy Australia Day to those in Oz!

Re: CB's Diary
Day 16
Days passing fast now. Found a tape measure. My waist is about 92. I wasn't too precise but I know it's too much. Have settled in to the routine. Eating Cohens meals, the routine of my snacks and water is easy peasy - relatively. Walked through a food court this afternoon and the food was kinda tempting, but I just thought 'why would I bother' when I can eat this Cohens way and get to the weight I want. Dinner - Had wonderful fillet with salad and mustard balsamic dressing. Then a spectacular juicy yellow peach. A really lovely meal. Bought a size M slinky t shirt in a discount store on my way home. Started to think about the fun I'll have with clothes again. Have missed it. Bit too much stress today. Work getting busy again and there are demands on my time. Couldn't walk or stretch today and I have an 8 am mtg tomorrow which means I can get the stretch in but not an hours walk. I know it's my job but right now I'd prefer to be at home, doing the walk and putting my health first. I guess the most important thing I have to do is the food. Making the right breakfast, taking time to pack my lunch etc. And sleep. Off to bed now. Hope everyone having great DF days.

Re: CB's Diary
Hi CB
Sleep tight dear lady. I know what you mean, I also find my work very distracting especially when it interfere's with times that I'm supposed to eat or prep to eat. I'm relying on a chef for my lunches everyday and I can only keep thumbs that he is sticking to the rules when prepping my lunch (I sometimes wonder if he really weighs the food, my salad never seem as much when I prepare) but then I just eat less. So lunch is more eyeballing at the moment and there's nothing I can do about it At least the scales are dropping so I have a little faith in him

Re: CB's Diary
Day 17
Well a chef sounds appealing but I have to say I am a control freak/ nutter about the weight of food that goes onto my plate and in my mouth. If the kids or my bloke offers to weigh or cook, I scream them away. I also go a bit mental if they try to talk to me about other things when I am doing the weighing out business. I know we women are great multi tasters but when I am with the scales and my Cohens food I go a bit weird/anal. Anyway it's one of my ways of coping I guess. But L you should definitely take all the help you can get at this time of your life. I am sure the chef does it right. Last night my bloke dropped a piece of tomato on the floor while we were eating and the dogs gave it a bit of a sniff around. I have to say that I am pretty certain that if it had been my 7g tomato I would have picked it up and eaten it. Gross eh. I guess I could weigh the food on the floor and then replace it...ramble, ramble. Every gram is precious. It's cool and wet in Sydney. I only had about 2.5l of water yesterday and had a bit of a headache this am. Also felt very cold last night. Wore my ugg boots, pjs and sat under a blanket to watch telly. Think I need 3L for my bod to be hydrated enough to burn the fat stores. Will watch this today. Did yummy yoghurt and mango and cinnamon for breakkie. This yogurt thing is growing on me and it's so quick to prepare. Means I can have crackers for afternoon tea and still one with dinner. There's always a positive. Brother in law visiting today. There will be beer and big food for dinner. Not worried at all. I AM IN CONTROL of what goes in my mouth. Because I plan on being slim and healthy and happy with how I look and feel! I will not get where I want to be by accident.

Re: CB's Diary
Morning all.
Well, a Day 18. I reckon if I do another 3 sets of 18 days I will be pretty close to refeed. We shall see how fast it comes off. Anyway, in the words of the Becks diet psych book, I have No Choice but to continue. Am wearing a U.S. size 14 grey suit to work today. I think that's the equivalent of Aus 16 and it is a bit too big. But the fact that it's a bit floppy on me makes me feel slimmer. I will wear it a couple more times and then give to salvos. Tried on a Country Rd size 12 suit and it was too tight. Could only just fasten jacket buttons and I would have looked very off in it. Zip on skirt would have burst if I had pulled up all the way. Reckon about 3 more weeks and then I should be wearing it. Fun. Boobs feel a bit smaller too. I have a drawer of smaller bras. Might see if any close to fitting and chuck out a couple of daggy current ones. Chicken and cabbage curry packed for lunch. Bit odd but I had run out of lettuce. Must shop tonight. Did Pilates class this am. Was so great for my body. It was my first time at this particular class. Full of fit 40 and 50 year olds. How do they look so good? I think they go to classes like this regularly. Which is my plan.... Have a lovely day Cohenites!

Re: CB's Diary
Thanks ladies - I am sure I will look back on this and think that it went fast, but there are deviation possibilities looming and I will have to plan to make sure I stay on track. Especially worried about a long weekend in Tasmania next week....but that's next week. I think a day at a time is best.
So, today is Day 19. Deviation radar is out big time as we have a work related social this evening - a play, a presentation and a party. I have thought about this and plan to do the play only. I will then excuse myself with a lie if necessary e.g. I have to babysit, or maybe I will just go and no one will notice. I just know the evenings are the witching hour for me. There will be trays of wine and canapés and if I go I may not get through. So better to plan to keep myself out of harms way. I feel a bit bad about letting my partner down - it's his work, not mine. But we talked it through this morning and he was supportive. I think he gets that I can't do everything and sometimes I just have to do what is best for me. I also think he likes the thought of me being slim again. Sometimes wonder why he has stayed with me through the fatty years. He's a good un. I am wearing a size 12 Simona dress which will work from work to the theatre. It's fitted round the bust and then loose so my tummy doesn't show. Although it's a good reminder to keep breathing in. It's a classic dress so I don't think its too dated but I bought it about four years ago when I was putting on weight and have only worn it about twice before. Happy to be in it and think I look ok.

Re: CB's Diary
Day 22
1.5kg loss this week. Very happy. I had been thinking it would be a low loss and I'd have to get my head space right. But I am very happy with 1.5. A low loss may be for this week. But I will keep on doing what I have been doing. Hopefully I am set to be at least above the 7kg 4 week benchmark that many seem to get. Hopefully! Very busy weekend, but always have meals and fruit and cracker allowance in a placky bag has worked well. Friday night party was Dangerous, but the thought out strategy of leaving man alone on his own with an excuse to leave at the start worked very well. Ciors - thanks for sharing the story about your bloke. Glad you have a nice one too. Sometimes our weight is more important to us than them. My dogs definitely couldn't care less!! Granddaughter staying with me at mo. She loves my premium crackers and is eating through the mango provisions. Hope everyone else's week has started well, especially for those that weigh in on Mondays. X

Re: CB's Diary
Day 23
Thanks Ciors and E. Another day, another set of Cohens meals..... Feeling a bit run down and in danger of cold sores on my lip. Taking lysine tablets daily with my vitamins and fish oil, but will down more lysine today - hopefully to keep them at bay. Family away in various places for next couple of days. So only me to worry about. Feel the weight is shifting. It's good! Tried on a couple of size ten suits this am. They are about 10kgs away from fitting me properly I.e. Can get trousers and skirts up, but a big way from getting zips to close. But I can see my way to a time when they will fit. Hairdressers appointment this afternoon after work. Will be nice way to relax. Picked up the ditch the carbs website and others from Ciors. Loving the insights and thinking about my way of eating for life. Know that alcohol is my biggest problem for long term health. But not really missing it right now. Strong feeling that I can do this.
