Well done with the cms, Vee. Supposedly, weight and cms losses take it in turns, first one then the other. I've had very little movement the past couple of weeks in my weight, but a significant cm reduction. If a genie gave you the choice of weighing the same and reducing your cms to whatever you chose, or staying the same size and reducing your weight to your goal which would you choose?

I've been using the Sugarless sachets also, but after the discussions I've read I checked the packet. The first ingredient listed is lactose, which we're not to have. The Sugarless liquid is okay. I also discovered that I've been using the Keen's curry powder, which contains cornflour and is not permitted -- Clive of India is.

I have to say that Trips' diary has made the most impact on me today thanks Trips!!
I wish I could put all my stuff into words in the wonderful way that you are able to.

Thanks AJ, for putting that in perspective. Indeed, I think cms lost is worth a lot more and can be seen better than kgs alone.
Also thanks for the info about Sugarless, I also checked mine and indeed, the first ingredient is lactose sweetner. I will have to inform the Brisbane clinic of this as they seem to be unaware
of it.
I've got the right curry powder as well, the Clives of India one, so just have to change sweetners and keep going!

We all wish we could express ourselves the way Trips does, Vee

I'm finding that I've been having a number of things that I thought were allowed, but I've had the wrong brand. I wish brands were spelled out more clearly.

Jeannie and vee,

Faithy pasted some info in the sweeteners thread that she got from Cohens re this ... No powdered at all

Don't worry Vee, I was taking the wrong multivitamin, then had the wrong asparagus, then the wrong something else LOL.

It takes time to get it all together I think. You are doing awesomely!

Yes, I saw what Faithy posted, and took note. I'm with AJ, wish they made it more clear about brands that can and can't be used.
Love your new pic Connie!

Week 3 Day 3
I hope everyone is having a great Easter!
I'm still feeling good on this program and I'm still loving the food. I've found that I have become much more creative in getting plain food to taste better! Of course, having some inspiration from all the lovely recipes that others have shared, has helped a great deal!
Today I'm venturing out for part of the day, and I'm going prepared with snack stuff of fruit and crispbreads, just so that I have something if the others decide to get something out. I do so love eating out, so I think that will be a toughie for me to conquer!
I'm still feeling impatient, want to see more results more quicky, but I guess as this weight has crept up on me slowly, it will take a bit of time to shed, and this program is certainly doing it faster than my last effort did.
Take care
Vee

Thanks AJ!

Yes, all went well today, thanks to a bit of forethought and planning! I had my fruit and crackers with me and my water of course.

I've managed to stay away from chocolate temptations, even though my son and my partner got some for Easter. I asked them to eat it out of my sight so that it was not so difficult for me to resist. They have been good that way!

Vee - well done on getting through the chocolate temptations. I'm with you on that impatient feeling. That's where my mind can defeat my efforts so I try really hard to push it aside and just concentrate on the task at hand. I've read a few times where people have written - "it will happen, if you stick with it the program will work" Wanted you to know that you are not alone though!!!

Congratulations on getting through Easter, Vee. Being prepared for whatever that might arise definitely makes this easier. Ditto to avoiding temptation as much as possible.. I found that I could watch others eating Easter eggs without any cravings myself, but if that wasn't the case I would definitely have asked them to eat where I couldn't see them. If this was an easy process we would have done it years ago. It's not, and we need to do everything we can to make it easier for us.

Week 3 Day 4

Today was a good day for me. I kept busy with various things, as well as being out most of the day.
I got given a very handy gadget for being on cohen's as an early birthday present. I had never seen or heard of it before, and the more I look at it and use it, the more I like it.
It's a HYDRACOACH! A bottle that has a little computer attached to it that keeps track of the amount of water you drink per day and it gives you the percentage of the total amount of water you have drunk in the day as well as giving you the average amount of water that you drink per hour. It is quite a nifty little gadget. I didn't have any problems drinking my alotted water amounts (3-4 litres a day) but this makes it a much more interesting process!

I also found out today about a seafood restaurant in Bulimba (Brisbane) called Get Hooked, that does Cohen meals! Yaaaahhhh!!!
I can now go out for a meal (my fav pastime) and still stick 100% to the programme. I feel an outing for lunch coming on later this week!! Hehehehehehe

That's it from me today, I got through Easter without so much as a sniff of chocolate, and I didn't miss it too much either. Big pats on the back for me, as chocolate is my biggest weakness!

I do like the sound of that water gadget, Vee. I'd like one of those. Do you know where they can be purchased?

I'd love to find a Cohen friendly restaurant. I always take my food with me because it's the only way I can be sure I can get exactly what I want.

Well done avoiding the chocolate

Morning peoples!

Thanks Connie and AJ.

AJ, I googled HYDRACOACH and found the following site that sells them directly as well as advises that the bottles are available from PriceLine and PriceLine Pharmacies.

Thanks everyone for dropping by and your encouraging words, AJ, Connie, Erica, Lucee and Jeannie. Wooo hooo Jeannie, thanks for my 'trophies'!

The hydrocoach is awesome! I drank 5 litres yesterday! It's so cool how it keeps track and you can see how much you have had. My average drinking rate was 300ml per hour!

Yes, Erica, having my head in the right place does help a lot. I'm lucky in that I have my brother who helps me to keep it there. He is doing the program as well, with his wife, and for him deviation is not even an option. Someone who sees it so black and white is a great help to keep you motivated! They are both doing great, have passed their midway goals already. They are not on the forum.

Today I was quite amazed with myself. I took son to do some shopping in this discount store, and they had a curtained off section that was The Chocolate Section! Immediately I thought "Oh yeah, that section is out of bounds for me!" But son wanted to look so I looked too, and funnily enough, it was not tempting at all. I was most surprised, and then the realisation of not being tempted, and what this program was doing for me sunk in even more. It was an awesome feeling, and I felt really good about it and myself!

Tomorrow we are going to try out this restaurant in Bulimba (for lunch). That will be a very special treat! Eating out is/was my favourite pasttime!!

My clothes are definitely feeling looser as well, mostly jeans that I wear, and that is a good feeling too, as they were becoming awfully tight around about the time I signed up!
It will be interesting to see what the scales have to say, as I only lost 1kg last week. I certainly hope it is a bit more this week.
