Thanks AJ, I think I'm organised to come now! My daughter will stay with my Mum and I'll have to bring my son, but he's 6 so a bit easier to manage! See you all on Sat!

Thumbs down Re: Melbourne?

Hi all,
I was going to send a group sms, but this is easier.
I am sorry to say that I won't be there on Saturday afterall.
My hubby's parents are coming to stay for the weekend, and seeing as we haven't seen them for nearly 6 months (after a family falling-out ), it would seem a bit rude if I wasn't here when they arrived.
I may feel like running away after they've been here for 3 hours but seeing as they have a 2 hour drive to get here, I will do the right thing and be home to greet them.
So, my apologies, (esp to you Suzanne - I won't be on PT with you now).. but I look forward to making it another time.
Have fun everyone,
Ruby

So sorry you won't be there, Ruby, but I am pleased that the family falling out is healing. We may not like our family particularly, but they hold a unique place in our lives. We will be organising more of these so we can meet then. Is there a day at weekends that suits you better, or one that doesn't suit at all?

Lovely to meet with everyone today. For those who couldn't make it, we decided to try to meet on the last Saturday of each month. Mark it in your diaries now and we'll arrange time and place closer to the time.

After I left I had arranged with DIL's mother to meet. We arranged a hotel, each had the place in mind but turned out we went to different hotels, not too far apart. I sent a text to make sure we weren't each waiting at different places, she phoned me to say we were. She had walked in to the hotel she thought and run into my brother and SIL. They live in the eastern suburbs, but SIL has just retired and decided to treat my brother to a surprise weekend. They were spending the weekend staying in the hotel and sightseeing in the city. I went there too and we all had a cup of tea/coffee together. What a coincidence though that they should be in the foyer at the time mother of DIL walked in.

Lovely to hear you all met up! I'd certainly like to join on another saturday. Did anyone take a group photo? ( if we did this regularly....the group shot would get smaller and smaller, as everyone gets thinner and thinner lol)

Hope you all had a fun and motivating time!

Sue, we plan on meeting monthly and do hope you can make the next one. Missy has a couple of photos, and we are certainly a diverse group size-wise, from those just starting to a couple on maintenance. In twelve months we should be a group of stunningly slender women.

Great picture Missy ! Well done on you all for getting there. Sorry I missed it.
I will also miss the 26th March catch up, as we already have plans to see some old friends that day.
I will look forward to the 30th April though! - by then (10 weeks into program) my goal is to be 14kgs lighter! Wow, hope that time flies...

Hi guys

Not sure if I'm going to be able to make the next catch up. My husband is going to the Grand Prix and I'm struggling to find a sitter. Will let you know closer to the time but also wanted to let everyone know that it may be a bit harder to get parking with the Grand Prix on that weekend

Oh no, Grand Prix, my hubby is going to that too, someone from work is taking him, so that's me in a predicament too. Let me know if it's definitely going ahead and I'll see what I can do with the kids, might have to bring one of them again!

I can't make it either week. Given the grand prix, how many can make it on 26th? No date is going to suit everyone. Is it better to have it on a regular date and have as many as possible attend, or try to find a date that suits the most people?

I can't do the 26th March or 2nd April either.
AJ - I think it's a good idea to stick with the original plan, it just takes the stress out of to-ing and fro-ing with dates etc... & as you said, there will never be a date that suits everyone.
If we know that we are going to continue to meet on the last Saturday of every month, then we can put those dates in the calendar now.
I will be there on the 30th April!
