Hi Vee!

Wow, what an awesome loss! 600g overnight! I'm so happy for you!

Sounds like you've got a good sleep routine going. Sleep is a good thing - more weight loss, more energy, and a good chance for your cells to recharge! =)

Hi Vee

Sorry it has been a while since i posted in your diary - popped in a couple of times but didn't post - you look fantastic! Way to go - you are inspiring me and a whole lot more I bet.

Glad that the scales are reflecting your progress again - as you know even when the scales are stubborn your body is adjusting and changing.

Wow Vee - sounds like the people at work aren't being very supportive of you - are they deliberately trying to sabotage you or are they just being thoughtless. Maybe its the table where the cake has always gone yet perhaps there is another place it could be put so it is not calling out to you all the time. Is it possible that asking for their support in this could bring a change in your stress level?

Glad to hear ypou sounding happier - have a great Cohens day.

Blessings
Shanara

Hi all, thanks for your visits and cheers over my loss last night!

Shell, yeah that magic sleep, which, at times can be elusive. Have to keep working on that one too!

Mette, still having tests, tomorrow the brain scan and eye test on Sunday, then probably see the doc next week to hear some results! It will be interesting... so will have to wait and see!

thanks Jenny, I wish I had your weight dropping capacity! You are rockin' girl and I'm so pleased for you! I'll be wanting to see some 40kg loss pics too, as it is only a pee away!!

Thanks Lulabelle, the head is feeling better lately, and I'm so wrapped that the losses have started to happen again, I was getting desperate thinking this PI place sure sux!!

Francesca, you are so right about the sleep and I know how important it is. Is good if you can get it working for you, which it now seems that I have. Thanks for you ongoing support .

Shanara, great to see you again! I was guilty of the same, not visiting you for a while, and I just paid you a visit when I saw you had done the same! Cool!
They are actually very supportive at my work, as I had not really let anyone know that I was following Cohen's so they didn't really know. Yes, the table behind me is where they normally have their goodies, but as it does not happen often, I thought I would be ok. I reckon it was a good test, and while it was hard, it was so worth passing it! The reward this morning was worth it!
I've since let a select few know about me being on the program and how much I've lost, and I'm sure it will filter through to the others. The one lady who knows came around with shortbread this morning (now I'll kill for those as they are my all time favs)! Well, she didn't come anywhere me with them, and I was really greatful for that, as they would have been hard to say no to.

Ok, better get back to work, lunch break is over!
Thanks again for all your lovely support and cheers, it really picks me up!

Vee

Vee

Came to respond to your lovely post in my diary

YAY FOR VEE!!!

For finally getting off PI. Now watch you go girl!!! Hold onto yr hat for the big dip. Just looking at how much you, mette, and myself have to go, mette is the lowest and only 1.5kg between us. Nothing a good week won't take care of so it will be close. What a great way to hit refeed.

Keeping a close eye on your go go now. Don't hold back

Katie

Hi Vee
glad to see there is movement again! and hope you are feeling better soon and that the tests help. Good on you for resisting the cake - how hard is it, and how often does it happen!!!! I could eat cake 3x a week at work if i was inclined, with all the goodbyes and birthdays. Shortbreads too... i have been thinking about whether you can have shortbread for your sweet biscuit on refeed. it will be something i would like to reintroduce for special occasions - but maybe not the whole packet this time. I am glad not to be going home for xmas as it would be hard to resist my daughter's scottish grandma's shortbread. Sorry i am going on a food fantasy when this is not what anyone needs to hear. GO VEE!!!!!

Hi Vee,

Good to hear the scales are playing nice with you . Ahhh the work morning tea's, I remember them well......hang on it wasn't just morning tea though, it turns out to be all day tea when you keep going back and back and back again for the left overs.......gee how did I put the weight on again ? You are so strong resisting all that, good on you Vee, hope you're proud of yourself.

Suzie

Wooooooooohooooooooooooooo!!! Looks like I'm definitely off that PI!! Had another 500g drop this morning , so week's total loss is 1.6kgs. Sitting pretty at 74.4kgs this morning. At last, moving on down!! Yesterday I definitely felt more hungry than usual, so I guess that is a real indication of going into fat dropping mode! I have to admit, I had (and still have) doubts I'd even be able to get under 70kgs, so hopefully this move on downwards gives my mind time to adjust that that is what IS going to happen!

Besides struggling with temptations etc this week and new routine with oils and some better sleep (although slept terrible last night), I've also increased my fish oil intake over the last 4 days or so, and that seems to have helped as well. I've also been taking an extra multivitamin at lunch time, just to get me through the working day!

I'm going take it easy today, will be working from home, so can take nana naps if I need to just recharge the ol' body! Gotta love being able to do that!

Thanks for your visits, Katie, Louise, Polly and Suzie!
Katie, your fat dropping indications were spot on (feeling hungry!). Thanks for the heads up!
Polly, I'm not missing the shortbread if it is out of sight, but if you make it available, then it is agony!! Still working on making it a NO CHOICE response as automatic!
Suzie, yeah those office celebrations are wickedly evil for the body! Good for the social aspect though!! Guess we just need to learn better strategies, which we are doing on Cohens!
Hope you all have a fantastic, fat-dropping weekend!

Vee

I'm not the kind of person to say I told you so, but I told you so! I knew you'd catch up! I love being right!

Just like Katie, when you leave Plateau Island, you do it in style!

Good thing that you're working home today! That way you can listen to your body and rest when you need to. And no evil cake behind you!

Hi Vee

Dropping in to see how ya going. And woooooooooooooooo is right you're off PI for sure. This is your body rewarding you for getting a cleaner in and refusing to eat cake.

BTW what a drop. You have to be pleased with that. I'm so happy that you are mobile again. And DONT ever doubt yourself that you will pass the 70's. The way you are going (40+kg) you are going to get to goal and with style.

Time to start your Cohen's swan dance hehehe

Hoping you are having a great restful day.

Katie

PS Mette, and you have no style PULEEEEEESE !!!! fantabulous lady

Vee congratuations on getting off that plateau, you knew you would, but we still like to see the results with our own eyes dont we. You and I are at a similar point and I had doubts about reaching the 60s as well, but may I say as I progress through this diary my doubts are slowly but surely being disproven. I did not think I would last this long and I did not think I would fit into the small sizes that I now find myself wearing- so now I can believe that I will get into the 60s - in fact just cant wait, it will be such a milestone! I look forward to seeing your doubts being disproven in no time Vee!

Hi Vee,

I just love the turn of phrase from Louise

Keep on "disproving those doubts" Vee - you KNOW how to do it, for sure !! You keep on proving that,

Hi Vee,
you are doing amazingly. I know it has been said before but you are an inspiration to us all. I see how well you have done and I keep telling myself that I can do it.
I am fairly good at work at avoiding temptations but other times I have been know to cave in. Some day I just don't have the strength to resist, you are amazing.
I was just reading back over your diary and see that you and your son survived his night out. It is hard as a mum to let your "babies" go sometimes. My brother has a daughter in year 12 and he is going through a few difficult "let go" stages. I am lucky (maybe) I have a few years to go before I reach those stages but I am sure it want take long to get here.
Keep up the good work - I used to have a cleaning lady and I really miss her (she also did my ironing too). Maybe when I get to 30kgs I can look at it again. What an insentive....
Cheers & hope all goes well this week with your Doctor.
Will be sending positive vibes your way.
Jo
