Talking Re: Sangi's Diary

Hey wanna waterwise icon for your signature.... really cheap........ but you need to register now???? Click on this link.....

I thought that since we're all pretty new and we have been working really hard we deserve a pretty icon for our signatures - just by doing what we already do - drinking water. All you need to do is reply to the post on the link and nominate an amount of H2O that you can commit to drinking every day........ will look for your name.

Now please raise your glasses......... cheers! Caro

Coke zero doesn't affect the weight, as long as you are within the limit. Like you said it could be water intake, or even sleep- are you getting the full 7 hours?

The thing with clothes is that while you don't want to spend a lot of money, it can be very motivating to get a couple of pieces to see you through the next few weeks. They don't have to be very expensive. I borrowed some shirts from my sons and bought cheap jeans at Giordano.

Wraparound skirts are a good investment- ten dollars gets you something you can wear even after you reach your target weight.

Congrats on the awesome weight loss. I am so proud of you!

My weight loss has been really good.My consultant at the cohen's clinic commented that my Inch loss was way more than my Kg loss. I got some cheap jeans and blouses last week , and god do they make all the difference.
Now everyone i know have begun to notice the change and have started to ask me , all the while trying to be polite.I can see "that " look on their faces when i say i'm on a diet. The look which says ,"Oh, another one of those diets".As if they know the wt loss is only temp and that i will def put all the wt back on.
I just can't wait to show all of them ,that i can do this and can keep the wt off for the rest of my life.
My hair is falling out a lot, my consultant recommended taking biotin. I need to know if there's anything else that can help.

The words "Oh what a feeling, I'm dancing on the ceiling" encapsulate perfectly the feeling of euphoria one gets when the REAL you emerges, after having been hidden away for so many years under layers of "EXTRAS"!

Well done Sangi, and keep on going!!!

I see you are almost at the halfway point! How exciting!

Keep up the great work and losses!

Hi sheila,vee and Slimliz,
Thanks for all the encouragement .yeah the goings been good. i'm so surprised tht i don't crave anything at all, given that i cook for the family. It's actually the other way around, and they can't beleive i'm eating yummy looking meals and still losing wt.
My daughters have asked me to cook cohen stlye meals for them one day, to see how they taste.
I'VE GONE DOWN TO 85.
It has still not hit me that i'm actually losing wt.after years and years of trying various methods and gimmicks i'm finally doing it and that too in a healthy way.
this fri i have an appt with my GP, just for a general check up. i can't wait to see his jaw drop.He has been helping me to find ways of losing wt healthily, but he had never heard of Dr.Cohen.So when i was going to begin the programme i notified him,and he is going to see me after 4 months.
i tried ryvita, and am not really crazy abt it, am planning to try out new ways of using it with my meals.May be crush it and add to my soup like croutons.

Hi sangi how are you!

I think if you don't eat them, there's no need to weigh it? Its like Bay Leaves.

Hi DP,
I'm doin gr8 thank u. Have you started ur refeed?
I asked the clinic and they said the same thing too.
I'm havin my daughter's 16th b'day party in a resort at the end of this month. There's gonna be lots of yummy food.this is my first test since i started cohens and i do hope i come thro this successfully.
Have already planned to pack cook and pack my meals foe the two days that i'm gonna be there.
i know i can do this.it's just not worth giving up all this success just for a morsel of food which is way unhealthy than cohens.

Hi Sangi

You're doing great! Such success must really be feelin good!!!

Might I suggest you take a look at C-Jaye's post in my diary earlier today. She has just returned from a fishing trip and took all her food pre-packed and ready to go and came through with flying colours!!!

Good luck and Happy Birthday to sweet 16!

Cheers
Jade

Thanks sangi! Hey you know what I always think of you when I think of mustard seeds. I remember from one post you said you have a fantastic recipe for mustard seeds with cabbage? Is it an indian dish? Share it on the Recipes Thread! Mustard Seeds are allowed!

To your question, I am still very very far from refeed, two more hurdles to go, if you see my signature, BELOW 80 and BELOW 70. Sighs...

Had a great weekend away from home.My first after i began Cohen. It was a challenge at first deciding what to cook and take considering the fact that the chalet only has a fridge and no Microwave. so i cooked four meals of paneer=+veg and Tofu +veg.I didn't want to take a chance with chicken or fish as i didn't have many reheating options. Then i fig out a innovative way to reheat, immersing my food packet in a basin filled with hot boiling water.
Iam very proud that i got thro the celebratory weekend without a deviation and my frens were amazed to c me.Some were concerned, some excited but all applauded my determination and success.
And slimliz i am goin to the dr only this fri. will def let u know abt the look on his face

Congratulation on getting through the trip away still on track, sounds like it took a bit of ingenuity and determination on your part. You deserve all the losses you get !!!
