I hadn't realised that. Maybe a note on the banner to click to get to the forum boards.

Hi Wei....

Like you I keep dreaming of noodles, and rice. I miss rice so much. I haven't eaten rice or noodle for over 3 months - but its been very worth it!

I am sure you will find it worth it too when you look "hot" in your wedding dress next year....go Wei go!!!!

Hi everyone,

It has taken me 9 days of Cohens before I got my act together to join the forum. It's wonderful to see all the support and encouragement that everyone gives each other, and I have to say that I'm glad that there are others in the same situation as me. It seems like a good safety net, having tips and support available when it all becomes a bit much. I think I might start one of the diary things later on, to keep track of where I am and to be able to look back on it all when it's over.

Looking forward to a successful program! (even if it is a bit daunting still...)

Welcome, Mette. Yes, do start a diary. We can then all follow your journey, and offer help and support if you need it.

Unhappy

Hi everyone, I am very new to this and still have not joined Cohen's as yet, I have all the stuff and am reading through it trying to take it all in. One question I do have is this, you are losing weight rapidly which no other diet I have come across recommends. Did anyone have helath problems with this? I am quite concerned that I won't be able to handle it and may get ill. Having not seen a diet plan I may be worrying for nothing. Anyone got an assurances for me from thier own experience?

Regards
Oldbag

Hey Oldbag (that's such a horrible name.. sorry.. I'm sure you're not )

I did the program for 12 months & felt healthier than ever throughout that whole year.. in fact I fell ill once with the flu & that's it..

I had some blood tests done just recently & the doctor was actually amazed that everything came back quite normal.. very healthy..

The plan itself is very healthy foods & it's also recommended that we take a multi-vitamin etc.. so really, while it is rapid fat loss it is a very healthy program.. the other thing is that we lose fat NOT muscle, which is where it can get dangerous.

Good luck with which ever direction you decide to take

Welcome to the forum, Oldbag (I hate your user name). Have you found this thread: http://newyouforum.com/forum/showthr...ight=physical? Have a look at this post: http://newyouforum.com/forum/showpos...4&postcount=33, which is typical rather than the exception. I am 61, have dieted on and off for the past 40 years. This is absolutely the best diet I have ever done, and I expect it to be the last I ever need to do. My husband, who doesn't need to lose weight, is eating much the same as I am, and loves the food. He keeps saying that he hopes we will continue to eat like this when I finish. We eat meat, chicken, fish plus vegetables most meals. I have been eating yoghurt and fruit for breakfast, have been eating egg and vegetable this week. All food is fresh and natural, no preservatives. I have been losing slower than most because of my age, am down 31 1/2 kilos (5 stone) in thirty weeks. I had given up on ever getting back to this weight, and now I'm planning on getting back to the weight I was at when I was in my 20s. I hope this helps you.

Hey AJ, you've lost your position! You have now taken my place!

Oldbag,

You've come to the right place. I'll be 61 in 3 weeks!

I finished the program on 16 June and without a doubt this was the easiest and most effective and quick way to change your entire life that I've ever seen or done. I didn't have as much to lose as AJ and we started within one day of each other back in January. I lost 25 kg and have returned to my weight at my military discharge weight exactly 40 years ago.

Question any challenges?

Hi everyone. this is my first time on the forum so I hope we are on the right track. I have been on cohens now for 8 weeks....everything was great for the first 6 weeks, then it was my dads Bday so I thought I deserved a treat for loosing half of my weight (pasta and desert with that) anyway that started some cravings that I have not had for a while....so silly really when I only have 11kgs to go...anyway enough whinging...I am hoping someone might be able to help me with a few queries...how do I get my ticker? Is there any challanges going at the moment I think that a little challange will just see me through to the end. thanks xxxx

I refuse to accept that 63 almost qualifies you as an oldbag. After all, I'm only two years behind you.

SMS, we did have a man of 62 join up and start a diary, but he hasn't continued with his diary.

Welcome, Jacqui. There's a new challenge here http://newyouforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5776. Start your own diary and you'll receive support there also.

Interesting, the US site says 62 but the Australian site says 65. Might be a typing error I suppose that's never been corrected?

Talking Hi - I'm new!!

Well tonight is the end of my first week on Cohen's. The first few days were horrible but I expected that. But I had a sneak peek at the scales yesterday and couldn't believe that I'd lost over 3 kg in a week!! I have never lost that amount before... but I guess I've never eaten such small controlled amount either. Looking forward to finding out my measurements tomorrow to give me the motivation to keep going!!

Cheers,

K

Question

Hi Everyone,

I've been reading your posts and I can't wait to start my programme. It just seems to be taking so long. I have had my blood tests, paid my fees and I'm still waiting. How long should this process take?

Thanks,

Welcome, Betty. It seems to vary. I think that some get their programmes in a couple of days, for others it takes a week. I assume it depends on how busy your clinic is, and how busy Dr Cohen is. If it hasn't arrived soon, call the clinic and ask about it, just in case they have it but have been too busy to send it out.

Hi everyone,
just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I havent as yet started Cohens, I am doing it with 3 friends, one who started 2 months ago. We have done the tests and just waiting for the info. We are all feeling a little aprehensive and frustrated at having to wait to get going, but I for one am totally inspired by you all. The support here is awesome. I look forward to reading more of your success stories and hope to have one of my own soon.
