Default MrsJ more determined than ever

Dear Diary,

Well I don't even know where to start. The last 6 months of this year has been somewhat of a roller coaster. After trying for a baby for since the beginning of the year with 2 miscarriages, you can say my body definitely took a toll. I have not been kind to my body and now it is time to put myself first.

I have 15 kilos to lose and I'm more determined to get my body healthy so we can keep trying for a baby. Sometimes life gives isn't fair but what you do with that is up to you.I have decided that I'm going to stay positive and keep moving forward. My husband and I will be blessed one day with our little angels. I cannot keep dwelling on the past and be depressed.

I need to look after my body and today I will be putting myself first. I have done this before and I will do this again. Thank you all to the lovely ladies on here with your inspiring diaries. They give myself motivation and they put a smile on my face.

Have a fabulous day everyone xox

Much love xo
CJ

Welcome MrsJ23,

Miscarriage is so hard on your body - I put on about 4kg with each that I had....and that ended up being 5.....
I was lucky and ended up with 2 lovely children so I am sure your time will come

I love your positive approach - you will get there

I missed this earlier MrsJ, but I also miscarried this year. I'm sorry for your pain and I hope that you're doing OK now. I hope you are surrounded by love from your family and husband.

We're on a similar journey. Be well.

Hi lovely ladies,

Thank you for all your lovely messages. It really means alot after a crappy week. You have all put a smile on my face after I just read all your messages. I hope too that you've all had a great week.

So far so good. No major headaches or cravings as such, even when hubby was eating KFC in front of me!!
I was so tempted to weight myself this morning but I talked myself out of it. I thought seeing a big number after 4 weeks will be better than a a few kilos.

I can definitely say that im feeling much better and feeling more confident looking in the mirror. I know ive only probably lost a few kilos but the feeling of being happy that I'm putting myself first again and looking after my body is such a great feeling.

At the moment my goal isn't just to lose weight, but to feel happy after a few mishaps with my miscarriages. Apart from the obvious feelings associated with a miscarriage, my social life also took a hit as I withdrew from friends and family. Because of this, i wasn't looking after myself and my appearance.

But now I'm getting into a better head space. One little step each day is what counts and I can honestly say I have felt great the last couple of days.

Hope you all have an amazing weekend with your loved ones.

Much love CJ

Hi CJ,

Awesome to hear that you are feeling great and in a better headspace
I had hubby eating KFC in front of me the other night - the smell gets to me then when I see all the grease I think ewwww no way!

Well done on holding off weighing - personally I am a daily weigher so I give you so much credit for being able to wait until 4 weeks - go you!

I look forward to following your journey

Westie xx

Hi CJ

I read what you and WW have said about the husbands eating KFC and this kind of makes me feel angry for you both.

I believe that hubbies are amazing creatures but sometimes they lack a bit of common sense.

Is there a way you can negotiate with them to eat the same dinner as you, but when you're both not around eachother - let's say he's at work that he can eat what he likes?

That's the agreement I have with my hubby. He has the same brekky as me (with extra cinnamon, he says it's because he's Swedish ) He has the same salad / dinner as me (might be different meat). Then when we're at work, I eat my food and he eats whatever he wants! I'm at great pains to ensure he isn't feeling deprived.

Anyways - CJ - good idea not weighing. I had fortnightly meetings scheduled for the first month because I'm paranoid about making mistakes. I am getting weighed again in 2 weeks, then after that I'll probably just do monthly.

Look forward to your next update

r.
