Everyone is different because our bodies work differently so I don't think there is an average.

Mine averaged out to about 1.5kg per week. Everyone is different depending on starting weight, how much they need to lose and age is also a factor I think. Don't go comparing yourself to others on the forum (hard not to I know) as we are all different. So far you're doing great and averaging the 1.5kg mark too. Better than any other weight loss plan that I know of. Keep up the great work and enjoy the process.

I'm averaging just over 1.5kg a week so far (35kg in 23 weeks). Like Lauren and Erica have mentioned, it will depend on how much you have to lose, and a whole bunch of other physiological factors and your age. For me, having polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) tends to make things a little slower at times, but way faster than any other program I've followed.

I started 11 January and hit 14 kg today. I'm the oldest on the forum at the moment, and have slowed down a lot over the past three weeks. I'm told it's easier the younger you are. Best not to compare yourself with others. Compare with every other diet you've ever been on. It took me almost 5 months to get to the same point on Atkins.

Back again to do it all over again, starting from exactly the same weight as last time.
My health is not good and my doctor is predicting all sorts of nasty things if I don't lose weight.
What else do I do? I help people make money and I help people save money. Please take a look at http://www.acnlinks.clancie.com.au/
Back again for the support. Still think the diet and the forum are the best ever, but too old to do it again. Now losing again slowly on maintenance diet. Ticker shows next intermediate goal only (5 kilos).

This poll may be of some help - with an indication of what the average person has done at the four week mark

http://newyouforum.com/smf/index.php?topic=897.0

I would suggest though that if you think you are slow that firstly re read your book from start to finish - it may be just one little thing you are doing that is effecting your weight loss - at 28 weeks I was still finding things I had missed and which were slowing my weight loss down.

Also focus and re commit to the program - its a lot of mind over matter and I think it helps to adopt a very positive attitude with the whole deal.

I also can understand why you should only weigh every four weeks and focus more on your measurements in the early weeks - it is also about re adjusting not only your weight but your whole body and your mind and your lifestyle and your eating habits and mental perception of eating and food - which is as important as loosing the weight.

All the best and I can say it works if you are prepared to commit big time and just give it a chance - but don't expect overnight miracles - its just not that type of eating plan either.

Andy

Hi,
I asked the clinic on Tuesday 15th April the same question
she told me the average for this clinic was between 7 - 10kg
for the first 4 weeks. I lost on Tuesday 8kg for 4 wks so I
fit into that average.
