As far as I am aware you are "allowed" to have extra tests... because my clinic even sent me for extra tests when they wanted to check something out. It really is about the volume of blood that they take during a donation that is the issue, I think.

I can't imagine that having blood tests for medical conditions would be a problem... you have to take care of your health!

thanks for the replies! it's just a "diagnostic" test at this stage so it CAN wait, but i was hoping i can get it done cause i want to get the results (nothing worse than not knowing!!)
