Default Summer Tips

Hi Everyone,

Just thought I would let you all know that i stumbled across some good little tips.

Save your fruit allowance for fruit. Instead of using lemon for fish, seafood etc. I found Lemon Myrtle - This is an Australian Herb and it tastes just like lemon. I put a pinch of it on my fish today for lunch and it was really nice and tasted very lemony.

Also, for summer. I bought some childrens Icy pole moulds. which I blended up some mango and weighed the fruit before i put in the moulds - i also have some with diet lemonade in them. This afternoon I had a great mango icy pole! (which only weighed about 125gms per icy pole)

I hope these tips will be useful!

xoxo

Great tip Nettie. I am going to do the icy pole. I was looking in envy at my friends eating splits the other day and this will help.

Thanks Nettie
I whipped up something similar for a dessert today for family. I made my mango sorbet the way you did - with sprite zero - and poured it into a souffle mould. I then made up others for the rest of the family - with 1/2 fat greek yoghurt and a spoon of brown sugar for some (those conscious of their weight) - and with coconut cream and a spoon of brown sugar for my partner (who is one of those string bean types). It was all whipped up quickly using my blender, and poured into moulds, and popped in the freezer for a dessert. Yum.
