Default New to Cohen

Hi All. I am from South Africa, I am awaiting my eating plan. Had my bloods done 2 days ago. I have read alot of the topics on the forum and there is so much support here. I must admit that I am a little nervous, I hope I can stay focused on the diet.

Hi Tish and welcome aboard!

Keep reading - especially Koh's classics and the stickies.

While you wait for your plan, start trying to eliminate non-cohens food (bread, pasta, sugar etc) as it will make your detox so much easier/shorter.

Once you are through detox, if you stay 100% on the program you won't need to worry too much about focus because you get into a "Zone" with no cravings or hunger. So you have that to look forward to!!!

Why don't you start a diary and tell us a bit about yourself and how you come to be here?

Hey Tish,
Hang around this forum....it is an absolute life line through this journey. I am on almost every day and seriously it is the first time i have felt connected and supported through any weight loss programme I have tried - here on an unofficial forum.
Once you start you will find it easy to stay focused as it just makes you feel so good.
Well done for starting

Thanks. I am so excited. My husband and I both will be on the eating plan so that will help a little to have a little support and not to be alone through this journey.

Hey Tish, great to have a supportive hubby -mine did the same (although now he has other stuff too because he has lost enough - and all those things like bread just aren't tempting for me now!)

Just be careful to ensure he doesn't use your portion weights - he will need more and if he uses yours it could be quite dangerous and put him in starvation mode - which would make him GAIN weight!!!!

Thanks Shuki and Jlou. I'm not eating as much bread and pasta as I used, the only milk I drink is with my tea for breakfast and thats the only cup of tea I have for the day. Once I get my eating plan (impatiently waiting) I will start a personal diary. It's so good to have one, I have read most of the diaries and that is so good support.
