Default I'm back again - excited and impatient!

Hi all!

I am new to the boards, and am actually back to Cohens for the 2nd time.. I am ashamed but I let myself go a bit and I think it was because I was so happy about being thin, I forgot I had to keep working at it! Uh-oh!

Anyhoo, here I am, and am going to go back to my program and see how that works for me, before I go and get another program written for me.

Has anyone tried done this and had the same success as the 1st time?
I am so excited and anxious about starting again for some reason...
Weighed myself tonight for my starting weight and am very upset with myself, but at least I have a starting point now...

This looks like a great place to come when I am feeling tempted and lacking confidence - great forum!

Look forward to 'chatting' with you all!

Hi Ando,
Welcome back - this time this could be the key to helping you stay on track afterwards as well. The forum is brilliant with support and honest home truths when you need it. How much have you got to lose? Why don't you tell us a bit about yourself - well as much as you are comfortable with.
From what I understand you probably do need to get a new programme - there has been some discussion about that somewhere but I am sure others will jump on and tell you the same.

I think it depends on how much you need to lose and how long its been. If you read the diaries of Hexi, Ropehema & New Vee, they are all doing "post graduate courses" in Cohens. Think there may be more as well but these are the ones I remember.

From memory, they all tried using their old program, but struggled - then got a new program and found it much easier. I guess the idea is to see how you go, hopefully the old program will work for you.

In the meantime - stay plugged into the forum - It certainly boosts you when you're down.

Hi Shuki,

Well, I have between 17 - 20 kgs to lose.. I'm pretty tall so I've always thought/ been told that I hide it well, but I really feel so blah, and to be back in the 70's will be so amazing!

I did lose 15 kgs the first time, and I was very committed. I did find it a little bit hard, but the positives far outweigh the negatives on this program I feel! I have just been slack, so only have myself to blame for letting myself go back to being overweight.
I've just turned the big 30! So this is going to be my year!

How long have you been on the program for? And how are you feeling? Good progress? Thanks for welcoming me!!!

Hi Mum Chum - didn't see your post - I wasn't ignoring you!
Thanks for the feedback, I'll have a look for the others, and see what they think. I am thinking I should prob get a new program as i have around 15kgs to lose, but I think I will give it a shot at least..
See you round the boards!!

Hi Ando!

Welcome, Welcome!

A few people have tried their old programs and found them a bit 'too' hard to stick to and once getting a new one, they found it easier- or that the initial detox/cravings were more controllable. But certainly worth giving it a try, right?!

Good Luck,

xMissy

Hi and welcome

from what I have read here, you should know in 10-14 days if your old program is working - if you are finding things hard by then or haven't had that big initial loss, time to get a new program.

Lulabelle is another who tried her old program a few times and could never get past day 14 - she now has a new program and is going great guns - look for her diary!!!

Hi Ando - i am in my 5th week now and only weigh monthly so that loss you can see is from the first 4 weeks. Yep it is going well - so well in fact that I groan at meal times as i have to yet again work out what to eat - what a difference from a few weeks ago when i lived for food. Now no interest at all. (unless it is time for my cheese meals!!

Thanks guys, that's so helpful!

I will definitely give it a go for the first 4 weeks and see if i have done as well as I initially did. I lost about 7kgs in the first month last time - was having a spice mix I shouldnt have been eating, so deviated, doh!

I am actually being a bit more inventive with my meals this time around, it is really helping.

Also, looks like i will have to jazz up my signature..... I am feeling a bit boring! hehe!

Thanks Laura77 -

1 week almost down and I'm finding it much easier than the 1st time - maybe because I know what to expect? Are you finding it easier too?

Did a sneaky weigh, which I wont officially do until tomorrow, and I am 3kgs down so far. I think that is pretty good, and so I will continue with this old program - your note really reassured me! 16kg in 6 weeks is amazing! Well done you!

I feel really excited and am enjoying the process this time, noticing the changes, and really enjoying the food.

I look forward to seeing your progress!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Ando, I found this time round MUCH easier than the first!! I think a part of it was because I knew what to expect, but mainly I think it was because of these forums... I had people to talk to that were going through the same things, and I could ask questions or get advice and encouragement...
xoxo

I agree Laura, these forums are fabulous. I'm so glad I stumbled across them!
And thanks Missy - thought i'd be the odd one out without a pic, a bit slow to get how to do it actually..!
Thanks Shuki - I look forward to the coming weeks when I start to feel the difference in my clothes!

Hi Andoo
Welcome back. I've also rejoined after a slip last year but it's great to be back. It's been two weeks now and I am already psyched.
Keep going, because there is really nothing else better out there.

Wishing the best...
Shaz
