Default Apple Chips

Apple Chips

Recipe Description
A really delicious and filling fruit snack
Ingredients:
A red apple
dash cinnamon
dash olive oil spray
Preparation Steps:
Cut a red apple in quarters. I use red delicious mostly. Then scoop out the core from the four quarters and very thinly slice each quarter into as many slices as you can.
Level of Difficulty:
Easy
Time Needed:
5 minutes
Serves:
Instructions:
Put the apple slices in a microwave for a minute. You can skip this step if you don't use a microwave. Pre cooking reduces cooking time.
Then on a skillet with a short spray of olive oil, brown and crisp the apple slices. Sprinkle with cinnamon and serve.

OK I whacked them in at first for 5 mins on 160

but they crisped when I put them in at 230...think i might try using a fruit peeler and high heat...

Oh they taste great.... I'm a savoury tooth and added a little salt

Thanks for the recipe

I use an electric frypan set at 7 (out of 10) heat settings. I sear until slightly brown both sides. They don't stay crisp for long but taste very nice as they soften too.

I've made these before and put them on low low heat for about 2 hours with the door ajar. helps dry them out and make them crispy.
