Re: Ed's Diary
once you have read it and reread it and then reread it again, make sure you do it all over again, and then read it every day you are on refeed cause it get so complicated, and I found it best to plan my next days meals the day before so I was ready for anything, cause real life has a bad habit of getting in the way of the best laid plans unfortunately.

Re: Ed's Diary
Ticker time!!
1.8kgs this week. Thanks all for dropping by, starting to get really hungry and weak! even just after a meal within the hour i am looking at the clock counting down to the next one. I'm not sure whne to start refeed though, i hope to get to the BNE get together on saturday and have a chat to some of you guys and go from there i guess. I have read the refeed document(s) several times and it looks like i'l be having a lot of blueberries unless i can find some of the other fruits frozen.... most of them are out of season. Our mulberry tree has just started to slacken off - a month ago we could have gotten 10kgs a day it was so laden with fruit. See you saturday i hope! Ed |

Ticker Time!
Week 22 and the weight has been all over the shop this week - up and down within a 3 kg range but thankfully 2 days without a gain now with a weekly result of 700g lost. i thought i would have started refeed now but i guess not yet, absolutely exhausted this last week though. |

Re: Ed's Diary
Thanks Koh,
I phoned the Clinic yesterday and they said START. I have been waiting for THE main sigh of excessive 'eat a small horse' hunger but that hasn't happenend - i have just been a bit hungrier between meals and the meals are still filling. I have not been obsessive with 'reaching goal' and know it is just a number but thought that closer would have been better even though it did slow down the last couple of weeks. I did loose 1kg last night though..... I was going to start yesterday by adding the 'extras' to the nights meal but to catchup i would have had to have bread, extra fruit, and 120 extra grams total - i didn't have the first two on hand and thought there was no way i could eat that all in one sitting. Today i don't have time to get those things until late either so will aim to start refeed tomorrow. Should have been more organised but i though i would have a few more days up my sleave til the hunger set in. Soooooo.... Starting refeed tomorrow (17 days) i should finish (bar any 2 day setbacks) on the 29th of November and be on the 10th day of maintanance for the 6-month mark. Ed

Re: Ed's Diary
Hi Ed,

Re "the number" (and trying to reach it), my comment was more for all rather than you, Ed.... Others reading your Diary who might be getting ALL of the other signs yet fighting on when their bodies have already said "Enough!" Also, I've read it several times from many posters, "How do we define 'hunger'?" There are some who only ever ate one meal a day, and they had innured their senses to any "feelings of hunger".... As such, there are several who don't relate to "hunger" - and that is where the other signs need to be heeded. Exhaustion is a biggie though - hence my prompt to "check with your clinic" Enjoy Ed, Koh
