Default First week - low energy?

Hi! I'm brand new to the programme and so far very happy with it! I've already lost over 4 kg and it hasn't even been a week. (I know I'm not supposed to weigh myself but clothes felt looser & I couldn't help it!)

Anyway, I just wanted to ask if anyone else has experience low energy in the first week? I'm on my 6th day and I'm tired much earlier than usual and sleepy a lot during the day. I'm not hungry, however, which is amazing. So far, I've stuck to it 100% and have drunk more than 2 litres of water a day. Besides the energy dip, I'm feeling great and so pleased at the results thus far.

Hi singsong,

Hey, welcome - and, keep on singing !! Tiredness, etc. is part of parcel of the early days, so just get as much sleep as possible, and hang tough.

In another week or two, you won't believe how good things are (works for most) as you meet "the zone". I hear it's almost like being a teenager again (you know - "10 feet tall, and bulletproof") - do let me know how it goes for you, eh?

Singsong,

I felt very tired for my first few weeks (although I am still suffering from sleep deprivation for the last two years thanks to my little boy!)

The last few weeks have been much better, and I am only tired when I forget to take my multivitamin.

Are you taking your vitamins etc? They really do help.

Hope you are feeling better soon, and what a great job you have done so far! Keep up the good work!

Hi Singsong

Wonderful to meet you..... Hang in there the first week is a wee bit rocky but then you cruise and hit the zone where you feel a little invincible!

Hi everyone! Thanks for your words of support and good advice. I'm trying to get a lot of rest, take my vitamins and hang in there. Amazing results so far, so that's all the motivation I need to push through. I suppose even if I end up feeling tired for the next few months it will be worth it if I am actually able to drop this annoying weight, which has creeped up over the last few years... particularly post-baby (same old story, right?)

It's so encouraging to read about how successful others have been. I've tried a few tactics like gym and eating sensibly, which barely made a dent. So now I've decided that the only way to do it is with something very strict and proscriptive, with proven results. I also think there is something to the fact that you pay a lot of money for this programme - it gives you heaps of incentive to stick to it. (Not that I think it should get *more* expensive )

Anyway - best of luck to us all!!!

I've been feeling the same! We started on the same day and i've been lethargic and without energy but have bursts you know what I mean? I'm sure we'll be in the zone soon!!! Well done on your loss!!!! AMAZING! When you see the losses, they inspire you on I bet. I've held of weighing myself, but can't wait for when I do jump on the scales.

I am so happy to have my body, I respect it, and always treat it with love and kindness! I honour my body for all that it is, imperfections and all. The most important lesson I have learnt from my journies with Cohens, has been to re-find self-love and respect. Staying in love and respect with myself will always ensure I remainhealthy and comfortable!

Hi Singson, check how much water you are drinking, you might be having too much, which in turn flushes your electrolytes out of your system. that was my problem causing tiredness. I'm in my third week now and today is the first day I haven't felt tired since I cut back my water intake x

Hi sarebear83 - thanks for that suggestion - it's interesting. I'll try to monitor how much I'm drinking and maybe cut back a bit. As I'm in Singapore and it's very hot&humid, I do tend to drink lots of water.

Hi SlimUnderneath - thanks for the encouragement! And same to you! are you feeling any more energetic? Yesterday was a bit better, but still with moments of extreme exhaustion. I'll be looking out for your results - I bet they will be amazing too!
