Default Beef stew

Beef stew

Recipe Description
A nice stew to warm you up on a cold winters day!!!
Ingredients:
Steak
Onion
Any veg in program
Garlic
Salt
1 crispbread
Preparation Steps:
Dice steak
Cut up veg (veg quantities are allowance and whatever veg
you like and are allowed)
Crush crispbread -(as close to a powder as possible)
Level of Difficulty:
Easy
Time Needed:
1.5hrs inc prep
Serves:
as many as you want
Instructions:
Brown meat in a saucepan with salt and add onion

Add crushed crispbread and mix around with meat

Add veg that take longer to cook (I usually add cauli) also
add a few mushrooms

Cover with water and allow to come to boil then simmer
for about an hour, or until meat is nice and tender.

Stir occasionaly, as the meat cooks and the crushed
crispbread swells it makes the stew nice and thick (so try
not to overfill with water or else it'll be runny)

I've had this a few times over the last couple of weeks
and it's yummy on a really cold day.

Hi Meljo
it sounds yummy but to batch cook you really have to keep the protein and vege separate or you can't be sure you are getting the right amount. Safer to cook in two separate pots if you want it for 2 meals.
