Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum, but not to cohens.
I did the program four years ago and lost 30kgs. I totally fell off the wagon after meeting a man (now my husband) and being too scared to tell him I was dieting on our first date. It all went downhill after that- I think because I'd found love I just let myself go, I didnt have to impress anyone because he already loved me. Sounds pathetic!
So...... I ate EVERYTHING!
And one day started getting ready for work and put my work shirt on. The sleeves were sooo damn tight on my arms and my buttons were nearly popping on my size 28 shirt.
I started crying- couldnt believe that I had got to that point, I felt so disgusting. When my husband touched me it made me feel sick- why on earth would he want to touch me?! The thought of a social occasion turned me into a screaming monster tearing through my wardrobe!
So I started Cohens on the 16th of November.
I cant believe how easy it has been for me so far! The weight is falling off, I've dropped 4 sizes!!! I'm wearing clothes that havent fitted me for three years!
And, well, that work shirt- I had to buy a smaller one!
I'm really excited about getting to know all of you and finding strength with all your help to make it to the end!

congats on the weight loss so far, you are quarter of the way there. Welcome to the forum - it is very addictive!

Welcome to the forum!! You have done tremendously well so far, you deserve some dancing banana's!! (You will learn I love the dancing banana's LOL!)

It is a very supportive environment here as you will no doubt find out very quickly!!

I am also new..but its my first time on cohens but of course not to diets. I just got back from picking up my plan and have written out my shopping list im so very excited. Congratulations on your loss so far i'm sure your already feeling so much better

Hi Shrinkinator, love the name by the way! Welcome to the forum and you are doing amazingly already! Thank you for your open and honest first message and I can't wait to read how your opinion of yourself will improve and change as you continue to lose weight! All the best!!!!

Thanks everyone for the lovely messages, I'm so excited I found this forum! It's so nice to have a place to go where everyone knows what I'm talking about! HAHA
Stee- thanks, I am already addicted! lol. Which doesnt worry me at all- I have such an addictive personality that for once I'm glad it's not an addiction to FOOD! But then in saying that, I think I still am but just addicted to cohens food. My life doesnt revolve around my next meal anymore and thats a breakthough in itself!

Sam.s thanks for he wishes. I cant wait to hear how you go with cohens and hope you love it as much as me- it really is amazing.
Pusskat- Thanks, I'm really proud of what I have dono so far and am feeling so much better already! My self esteem is definately boosting for two main reasons- 1) I keep being complimented (which was really hard to take for a start! lol) and 2) I can now shop in the 'normal' range of clothes. It's so nice not to visit to plus section. Was really awkard for a start because I kept thinking everyone was looking at me thinking "hmf! you dont belong in this section!" hahaha.
