77.5 - now that i have settled well into the extra food - was playing around to see if i could have some of the extra and I was still hungry and not loosing really. So decided that I would just all the extra the clinic advised.

What do you know - great losses again! Wow - I am in awe of this programme. Slight glitch as I found out what would work and then down I go again. My refeed has come and I am reading it and will have to start soon so that I am finished before i go to the states. In some ways I would like to just continue as i am - the weight is really shifting - both in shrinking and weight. Just goes to show eating less doesn't always equate with weight loss. Seems like my body was starting to store as I came close to goal weight.

Refeed looks good even though I am slightly worried because i am starting early however will just trust my body and Dr Cohen. Worst case scenario I will go back on a new programme after i get back. Best case - everything will unfold with grace and ease.

Feeling good again and that is the best feeling. The constant hunger was really getting me down. It really is very important to get in touch with a consultant when there seems to be a problem. I say it in here all the time - now I have followed my own advise - just have to remember this!

vee - thanks - yes it is here and I will start very soon. for now very happy with food amounts for the first day or two. If I get hungry again will be straight onto refeed.

Flamie - I wonder if your body has gone into storage mode as well although I see one big difference between us - I was hungry !!!!!! Very hungry!!!!! maybe talk to your consultant.

Louise - thanks I think your summary is pretty spot on. Will start soon so I am finished before flying out but happy for now.

Rechelle - who knows - maybe we will be in refeed together - I am not attached ot how this unfolds. You are looking great. Not long to go for you I feel.

Carrieanne - thanks - I am much happier. yes , funny how we keep doing things sometimes for a long time when we know in our head it is not good for us. Oh, we re such crazy beings us human beings.

Mette - yes the mangoes are gorgeous here and now I am very grateful I squirreled bags of them away for winter. Will do again next year - think mangoes are now one of my staple foods.

Oh, went shopping again today but didn't buy anything. I am amazed at having so much choice, when i was big not very much choice. If something looked good I would buy one in every colour. Don't have to do that now.

Blessings everyone - those who have a long weekend hope you are enjoying it!

Shanara

Hi Shanara,

In my last visit to the clinic, my consultant actually did suggest to me perhaps I could start my refeed earlier than expected. She was basing on my exterior physique. She says that I may get too think if I'm to hit my goal weight of 51-54kg but she says to hang on till the next visit and see how. Guess, with the next visit in about 2 weeks' time, there won't be much change.

Oh yes, congratz on the weight shifting again for you. Isn't it wonderful to have more food and the weight drops?! Cool...and best of luck on refeed when you eventually decide to embark on it.

77.7 today. Up a little - just .2 from weigh in a few days ago. No reason to be.

Just found this in my last entry;
Quote:
If I get hungry again will be straight onto refeed.
Well that is what happened again today. Was searching for food one hour after breakfast. Went to the fruit shop and brought me some pineapple and rockmelon and have completed day one officially.

I am sure my body is shrinking big time from my clothes. The size 12 jeans I brought just the other day are getting very wrinkly around the bum and legs. I am soooooo hungry tonight I don't know how I will get to sleep. Last time this happened I got up out of bed and ate something. This time I will not as I will not deviate at all on refeed. But boy am I hungry. I can't sleep I am sooooo hungry. That's why I am typing this - maybe a distraction until i get so tired I just fall asleep.

Really hope I have made the right decision - spoke to the clinic again today and she assures me I have. After I get back from USA we will review it and see where I am at. If I feel I need to will get another progamme - so that feels right. Am just listening to my body and interested to observe how I go on refeed.

Well feeels strange to be coming to this point of change - yet i am more than ready for it. It has been a a wonderful journey and i have learnt so much and totally enjoyed the ride. I look at myself in the mirror and can't believe that just 7 short months ago I thought I would never look like this. I love my new body.

Thank you everyone on the forum who has supported me in this time. See you in refeed land.

Shanara

I am sorry i haven't been much in other people's diaries but am just busy and also ned to just focus on a couple of things.

Hi Shanara,
Congrats on your first day of refeed.
I'm sure that the changes in your body are mind blowing....do you feel that your mind has actually caught up to the weight loss yet ?
I guess sitting in the plane on your trip will be a buzz when you can sit with comfort and the tray table isn't an issue.

You have done amazingly well and I wish you continued sucess for your refeed.

Have a great day, hope you finally got to sleep OK
Cheers Di

Hi Shanara, just catching up on your diary.
Congratulations on your weight loss & your decision to start refeed. Sounds like it is the right time for you.
Is your trip to America work or pleasure, hope you have a fabulous time either way.
I am looking forward (amongst other things) to fitting in a plane seat comfortably. The long legs were always a problem, but the excess buttage just aggrevated the problem.
Cheers, Seph
