GREAT idea Butterfly - i find it really inspiring to see the weekly losses of others. I won't be able to post over the holidays - camping is for about 10 days. I fell stronger and more confident that I can do this already! yay! I have to say my resolve waxes and waines....but it's waxing now
WEEK 1 (1/12) - 65.4
WEEK 2 (8/12) - 63.6 -1.8 (I'd just got back on the bus)
WEEK 3 (15/12) -
WEEK 4 (22/12) -

Well done Lesley - what a great loss. That should definitely spur you on when you are faced with the many temptations of this time of year.

The bus is filling up with passengers - yay!

Butterfly I deviated by accident - my soda water was spiked with ginger cordial, and I only realized when it was half way down my throat. (the horror story is in the mango challenge & my diary if you feel you can face the sad and sorry tale...! )
Is it ok if I just keep posting anyway? I deviated physically but not mentally! I still want to be DF right through, and this challenge is such a help. I was seriously wondering if I had the determination to stick with it camping, but even typing this right now, my resolve is strengthening. Please say yes!

Maybe a tip for everyone this month is....don't leave your drinks lying around!

Of course you can Lesley - this is mostly meant to be a support mechanism. I don't think that accidental deviations such as those should could. There is a very big difference between intentional and accidental devations.

Glad to hear that your resolve is strengthening. You will be well placed to handle your camping challenge and will keep being rewarded with those good losses.

Take care

Question Re: Determined and Dedicated to a Deviation Free December -A Completely Cohen's Chris

How gutting for you Lesley - it is a lesson for all of us - that drinks can be spiked with innocent liquids.

Had our first family Christmas dinner today (as some of the family will be away on Christmas Day). Have to say I was pretty chuffed - I resisted the new potatoes which I think was my biggest threat. Made a lovely cheesecake last night - not licking fingers was a challenge but kept telling myself that hopefully next year i will be able to taste it.

I am not sure whether I am DV free as I didn't weigh the turkey breast nor the salad (which I made) so can you please advise. If I have DV, then can I please be like Leslie and keep posting - just to keep me focused. Today was a trial run for the real thing however I think CD will be easier because we are having it at home and I will be able to keep busy in the kitchen etc and not be so self conscience that I have only turkey and salad on my plate. Must admit that I did take a small potato to look as though I was eating, but left it untouched

My stats so far are:
Week 1 (1 Dec) 81.0
Week 2 (8 Dec) 79.0 - 2kg

Hi Winterboots,

Sorry for the late reply - crazy week for me! As far as I am concerned, if you tried to stick to your portion in the best way that you could and you feel you honestly did, then I am fine with you continuing. Unless someone with more experience in this space tells me otherwise.

Myf - I am going to go and read your diary to understand your situation. However, please know that you can get back on the bus, get your hormones back on track and feel better soon. You can do it. All is not lost. We are here for you.

All the best

Butterfly

I'm out sorry. Went out for tea the other night and my plain chicken salad with dressing on the side came out with sauce on the chicken and dressing all through the salad. I didn't send it back because it would have taken so long for another one as the place was so fill with Christmas parties. However while I am disappointed, it hasn't stopped me from being determined not to deviate knowingly until I reach maintenance. Congratulations to everyone whose still in the challenge.

Well ladies,

It is the last day of the challenge. Do we have anyone who is able to claim the icons?

I remained d-free throughout December - sorry I was not on often to support - very busy at home and work. Looking forward to a couple of days rest. Well earned. Well resting while cleaning the out of control house and starting to pack......

Let me know how you have gotten on.

Happy New Year everyone

Hi Butterfly

I too have managed to remain DF. It has not been difficult for me as all the focus has been on my father and our traditional Christmas "festivities" were shelved for this year. One more night and I will indeed claim my icons.

Thank you for organising this challenge; having the challenge in the back of my mind has helped me keep focus.

Happy New Year to all.

Hi Ladies,

The santa with the beard

But my signature is not allowing me to save any of the Christmas icons to it. Let me know if it is the same for you and I will ask Koh if there is a restriction on it.

Thanks

Butterfly, and all other successfull challengers

I was able to add my Santa icon by putting several spaces between my mango and Santa.

Works for me, hopefully will for you too.

Congrats to all, and keep up the dedication.

Hi BF,

I suspect you might have reached the character count limit in your sig. I'm not sure what that limit is - could be 1000 characters - not sure).

I do note you change colour several times in your sig goals, and that "chews space" wildly. e.g. to write this :-

The quick brown fox..... takes just 24 characters, but this :-
The quick brown fox..... takes over 100 characters.

You would find the coloured version looks something like this (but using round brackets so you can SEE the characters involved):-

(color=red)The (/color)(color=blue)quick (/color)(color=green)brown (/color)(color=pink)fox.....(/color).

Any limit is quickly reached once many colour changes come into the equation.

Maybe change all of your "DONE" goals to be the same colour as the goal itself in your sig, and you'll quickly gain back 50 to 100 characters, thus allowing you add a few desired characters. It's "trade-off time" for you methinks....

Koh

Thanks very much Koh - I had no idea! You have got to love your clever programming knowledge! I will change it to one colour to save space.

That did the trick. It is worth the trade off.

Thanks again
