Default Re: Maintaining weight and accountablility for life!

It's my turn to kickstart this thread back to life and be accountable for life:

So far so good after plan and refeed, however, I do not want to become complacent.

Over Christmas and without my bathroom scales to keep me in check I went up a few kgs. I felt uncomfortable and went back on plan for a week and lost the extra kgs gained and a bit more weight too. It is clear that if I gain I can do plan for a week to reset myself, however, the goal is not to gain!

End of Refeed Weight: 67.5kg (November 2011)
Today's weight: 65.4kg

Cohens range: 61-64kg

Happy to be 65-67kg
Concerned: 67-68kg
Immediate action to restart plan: 68kg
Dream Weight: 63-64kg

Oops I did it again!!!

I reached 68kg on Saturday so immediately went back on plan to try and lose the 3.1kg I gained in 1 week. Going well so far and am down 2.2kg today. I want to be back at 64.9kg by Saturday this weekend.

End of Refeed Weight: 67.5kg (November 2011)
Today's weight: 65.8kg

Cohens range: 61-64kg

Happy to be 65-67kg
Concerned: 67-68kg
Immediate action to restart plan: 68kg
Dream Weight: 63-64kg

Hi Sapph,

Good on you for watching, and more so for immediately taking action when things reach that "Act now" point.

What you should find is that things will settle - a bit like the oscillations of a ruler over a desk - remember that in school? The oscillations will gradually die down as :-
1. Your body responds to the new life past Plan
2. You learn more about "What your body likes" (and more important, doesn't like) as the next weeks and months pass.
3. You minimise those foods that seem to be "the culprits"
4. You learn just "how much" you now need to eat to allow exercise, etc

Of course, with everything "new" to you in Maintenance, it does take time to get it right. The odd "slip-up" is not to be feared (as you are finding out ) but simply put right once more, and continue with your "baby steps".

I hope others recognise the worth of this thread and join you in it....

Keep on rocking, lil Blue Star,

Koh

I haven't "done" Cohens - Asy knows me from way back - she invited me to "take a look" here - I did, loved it, and stayed...
And me? I'm a tall skinny-ish bloke (BMI ~25.5) and have been this way forever, so I haven't faced (weight-wise) what you all have !!
