Keeping lettuce fresh/alive for longer
I'm not sure if this has been shared before, or if you already know about it but I read a tip in a magazine a couple of years ago which I have used and works wonders. If you line the bottom and sides of the container you keep your lettuce in in with Paper Towel (Viva/Handee/Coles or Woolies Brand) it significantly increases the length of time your lettuce stays fresh! It really works! I've had my lettuce in the fridge for almost two weeks and its still as nice as when I bought it!  Cheers, Lauren

Yeh I do that with most veggies actually... Soaks up the moisture.
Apparently wrapping your celery in foil keeps it fresh for donkeys ears too!
