PMS and hormonal food cravings
I've been on the program for 3 very successful weeks now, using my old plan. What I need, entering into week 4, are some tips for combating hormonal food cravings/PMS food binging... Prior to my period, usually around ovulation, I experience intense cravings for food...no specific type of food or group of foods more so just an increased volume of food to feel satisfied. Just yesterday afternoon the craving was so strong I prepared myself done extra veggies thinking that if I was yo overheat it was better to do this with veg! I want to maintain my success. I know my hormones will balance out once my Cohen's heals my body but what do I do every month until then? Has anyone experienced the same? Does anyone have any tips for managing cravings?

All I can say is that it gets easier as you go along Jem. I used have shocking cravings, but not anymore. Find something to distract you when you're feeling hungry, trying on clothes, go for a walk, drink...I use psyllium in my food to bulk things out, so I'd make soup, with extra water and thicken it with psyllium. Remember, its only period craving, you're not really needing any extra food. I don't know about anyone else, but I just toughed it out. I'm facing my own period in 10 days and I've been pretty hungry this time around so I'm just doing what I can too.

Trying on clothes is a very good idea - distracting and motivating. I have a bag of clothes that I love to much to donate but are all size 16 so have always been two sizes out of reach for me. Not for long I hope.
Water is another great tip - if every time I have a craving and got to the fridge I have a sip of water or even some diet lemonade I could learn to feel satisfied because as you say, I'm actually not hungry. As always thanks for the support and ideas x

And I found that I always had my best losses straight after it finished so that was enough motivation to stay DF.

It's actually normal, just don't overdo it. You said, it's just once in every month. So indulge in your cravings but remember not to overeat.
