Day 9

Having my meal 3 for breakfast today, love doing that sometimes just to give me the option of having my meal 1 for dinner (easy no-cooking-required yoghurt with fruit )

A slight weight gain this morning as well as a little plateau trying to break out of the 70kg+ memory weight. I'm so happy I've hit this stage of the journey again, it's a happy place to be. I'm past the horrible first days, fluid retention is gone and now working on the fat.

I've been surprisingly satisfied with my meals these past two days or so. Pushing thru, it's all good. I will never say it's easy... but it's all good. Pushing thru

Day 10

Sitting in a cafe, sipping my tea, I'm dressed up nice, my pants don't cut into my belly and my bra doesn't hurt either and I'M FEELING GOOD! What a difference in just ten days... Ten days of hard work but still

Day 12

Thank you for your lovely comments dear Cohenites!
Weighted in at 69,9kg today, back in the normal BMI range, sigh of relief and a big wide smile for that one

I've got a quick two day trip away coming up this week and I'm currently preparing and packing every single thing I plan to eat during those two days, so essentially taking my 'medicine' with me as you should anyway

Day 16

My Week 2 results: (start measurement -> current)

Breast: 104 -> 100 cm
Waist: 85 -> 80 cm
Hips: 107 -> 103 cm
Thigh: 65.5 -> 63.5 cm
Weight: 73,7 kg -> 69,5 kg

Such amazing results in such a small amount of time. I'm really happy with myself!

My little trip away was a success, it wasn't easy and my willpower was at a test the entire time but I managed. One of my meals ended up being a dinner out and I ordered a chicken salad with no dressing. This was the first time I had done anything like this during my entire year and a half on the program; to go to a restaurant and actually order a healthy meal that is very Cohen friendly. Sure the pizza looked great but oh my the salad was divine and I walked out of that restaurant glowing in happiness and feeling so alive versus sluggish from excess fat and carbs. I didn't even finish the salad! My point is, so yes that's a 'deviation' but more than that it was an exercise to start to pick up some healthy habits for life!

The night before the Day 1

Soooooooooo...... I've moved countries again, but now settled for the long term, at last! Praying that with a more stable lifestyle I can nail this weightloss once and for all.

I've tried doing a different type of program but quickly lost interest in it for the unbelievably slow results. No pain, no gain. Cohen is so hard, but the results are fast. I like that. So here I am. I know I have it in me to do this. I've done it once and I've been close a couple of times before. But why am I still here and going around in circles, I haven't figured that one out fully yet. But I have never fully given up, and that gives me hope.

Back here tomorrow for my daily updates (I need them for my sake).

Soleil xx

Welcome back Soleil! Your move sounds intriguing - where are you living now?

It is hard getting back into Cohens after the first round but when you do, you will be so glad you made the effort. The results are that quick that within the first few days you will be feeling noticeably better, trimmer and more in control. It's well worth the effort and with so many of us doing another round you'll be in good company. If you don't mind sharing about the different program you tried I'd love to hear about it. Perhaps it's something that can be used in maintenance that is not quite as strict as Cohens but still keeps one within goal??

I look forward to your daily updates - you can do this!!

Hi Soleil, I'm doing another round of Cohens too. As Louise said there are a few of us. I know Cohens seems hard when you start but as you know it gets easier as you get into it. Hope your move works out well and you start seeing results fast. Keep positive.

Day 1

I've done my day one!!!!!! Hurray!!!!!

I felt great after my breakfast but it got really, really, really tough after lunchtime, I was craving sugar big time. And very hungry still after dinner... But this was day one and I survived

Although it was hard today, I cannot be happier to be on this plan again. I know the program works and fast, that is why I keep on coming back over and over again. My challenge is to finish this so that I can get to the next stage and move on. I don't know why I haven't gotten there yet... Although I can identify one thing and that is that I am far too hard on myself. The most successful people on this program may or may not have fallen a few times but the difference between them and me is that they have picked themselves up and carried on and finished the program regardless. I do one mistake and that's it, it's all ruined for me. I try to get back but have failed again and again. This has got to stop, otherwise I'm here next year as well, and that would be the case as well because I will never stop trying. Never.

Back for an update tomorrow

Soleil xx

Oh I'm so proud of you Soleil!!! Well done for completing day one! You're on your way

Just remember that while the hunger is uncomfortable, it is not a crisis and it will pass. You'll be in the zone before you know it!

So excited for you!

To answer your question - yes - you can send a private message, the option is at the top of your screen somewhere. I will send you one so that it's easier to find. I'd love to chat with you some more.

Day 2 -800g

Again the hardest time was between lunch and dinner and I was really hungry whilst preparing dinner for the rest of my family (an hour and a half before my scheduled dinner time). I was so relieved to discover some sugar free gum in the pantry to ease 'the pain', I felt immediately better. Just needed to chew on something I guess... But all in all I'm in a really good head space and I have a strong sensation of wanting to do this. Day two done and dusted! Now settling into the evening with a cup of camomile tea, did that last night also, it's a lovely evening ritual to have.

Wow that's pretty interesting about the gum. I know that feeling of needing to chew something. I remember once on a previous Cohens attempt eating a biscuit and spitting it out lol. Thats sad - I just wanted to chew something lol.
You are doing great. Sending you more positive vibes for day 3!!

Day 3 - 800g

An early update today for it's going to be a busy afternoon/evening. Well it's been a busy day already and because I knew it was going to be busy I ofcourse slept poorly worrying about today. But all good, managed the first part of the day and now I have a few minutes to sit in a cafe. I was so hungry about half an hour ago but having a gigantic cup of organic green tea in front of me has not only made me feel all relaxed but the hunger has disappeared also, thank the lord. I have my lunch waiting for me in the car and that is where I'll be enjoying lunch too, in the car

Tonight I'll be going to a Zumba class. I only just started going about a month ago once a week, I don't really even like Zumba but it was the only class that was available at a time that suited me. Have been enjoying it though, if for no other reason than to just be out of the house. Anyway so I don't know how I can possibly manage a class today with such restricted calories but still want to go and try. And I have to admit, everytime I've gone I've returned home with a big smile, it gets a bit addictive. Really hoping I can still keep at it, that is the only bit of exercise I've done in years.

Oh was going to mention about my broken sleep so not only was I up worrying about today but I went for a pee not kidding about 8-10 times, no way did I drink that much. Fluid retention sorted in one night I hope, surely there's nothing left hahahaha
