hi all i thought that since the "What do you do for a living" thread went so well, i just wondered what everyones all time fav movie is.

Mine are
* Hearts and Souls
*Young Guns 1 &2
*Nothing To Lose
*The Three Musketeers ( charlie sheen, Keifer Sutherland)
*Chances Are
*The Goonies
*The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ( all of them )
*Commando ( or anything Arnold Schwarzenegger)

my list goes on but they are the main ones.

Although it doesn't look like it from my list above, I actually love most psychological thrillers, movies that get your mind thinking and coming away from the cinema thinking WOW.

Then there is the TV movie that won't be released on DVD (was actually removed from circulation by the Clintons) called Path to 9/11. That was amazing. Hmmm, now I want to go and watch a movie instead of going to work... now look what you have started

Just a few of mine;

• Some Like It Hot (Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis & Jack Lemmon). It is a classic, hilarious movie.
• How To Marry A Millionare (Marilyn Monroe, Betty Grable & Lauren Bacall) one of my favourite chick flicks
• Rocky Horror Picture Show. Love this movie to bits, know every word by heart!
• Singles (because it has Pearl Jam in it... they're my fave band)
• Big Fish (never fails to make me laugh & cry)
• Juno (another that makes me laugh & cry)

I swear its wrong for me to love it so much but The Bridges of Madison County is such a fantastic movie!! Care to do a count on how many times you’ve watched it? lol
I was pleasantly surprised by how steamy the chemistry was between these two fine actors and the story really moves me, every time. I cry each time I watch it.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the new STAR TREK movie, have seen it twice and could watch it again, im a trekker from way way back but couldnt stand the original with kirk but love the new movie.

Loved the new Wolverine movie! So much manly goodness in that movie!

Haven't quite decided if I like the Harry Potter movies, actually. I have a hard time forgiving film makers for changing books, and the HP books are among my all-time favourites. But I'm definitely watching the next one when it comes out!

Dirty Dancing (obviously lol)
Juno
American History X
Guess who's coming to Dinner (Hepburn, Tracey, Poitier AMAZING!)
just about anything from the Horror Genre, LOVE anything with a bit of gore lol
Farrelly Bros & Cohen Bros Movies are also FAB

I know I'm forgetting some brilliant movies, but the above are great. I'd be kept happy for a while even with just those on my shelves.

Simpleviolet- Bridges made me cry as well. Because no matter how much I love my husband, there was a part of me that understood how Meryl's character felt when she was making that decision about whether to stay in the truck or get out and run. That one moment- stay or go- very powerfully portrayed!

I have to say my favourite movie is The Sound of Music. I can recite all the dialogues and sing all the songs. But the Harry Potter movies come pretty close as well.
