Hi there Daisy, welcome to the forum. We are feeling the same as you. My husband and I are on day 3, it's getting easier which is great.
We have been on Cohen's before and had a great loss, fell off the wagon and thru the concrete but are now going to do to the end. I look forward to following your journey. Judy

Re: Happy to be here
Booboo9498, I am impressed with you husband doing this program with you. My wonderful husband also needs to join me, but he will be cheating ALL the time and that will make it too difficult for me... Once I reached my goal weight I will gladly help him if he wants to

Re: Happy to be here
DAY 3
I was reading a few journals and enjoyed it so much. Wish I had more time to read all the latest updates. After reading and seeing the success stories, I am even more ready to follow the plan to the letter for the quickest possible weight loss. I have done Cohen successfully before my pregnancies and I know I am able to NOT cheat. I am scared I am going to feel hungry or will have cravings if I cheat even once. I am scared I will not be able to continue with the program if I cheat once. Learning from past experiences I know if I cheat, it is too difficult for me to get back on track. I am turning 40 in July and my goal is to be finished with re-feeding by then It is now or never. After years of being on all kinds of diets all the time and staying overweight I am ready to either lose the weigh or be happy with my overweight body. The key for me here is to BE HAPPY, I cannot spend the rest of my life being unhappy with the way I look. Either loose the weight or accept it. Hopefully it with be the first Every time I write in this journal, I will give myself a reason why I started this journey. Something for me to read on the difficult days. #1 I want to lose weight because: I want to wear my engagement ring. My fingers are too puffy and I am not wearing it for many years now

I love that Craig is doing it with me however I don't control his Weightloss, just try and keep him motivated about it enough that he doesn't want to deviate. Doesn't work all the time. I am major jealous that guys lose it quicker. Maybe your husband will see how wonderful you are going and join in.

Re: Happy to be here
Hi Daisy, I got to that point too about being happy. Glad you have decided to give it another shot. You will look fabulous in your 40's (which are the new 30's by the way ) I love the idea of putting a reason for losing weight at the start of every day you write in a journal. I think I'm going to do that, awesome.

Re: Happy to be here
DAY 5
Today was my best day so far and yesterday was my worst. Yesterday I felt awful, I just wanted to stay in bed. Everything I did was a huge effort. Today I love the feeling of being in control of what I put in my mouth. Normally the first thing I think of when I open my eyes in the morning is: coffee with lots of full cream milk, sugar and two rusks. Throughout the day I would constantly be on the lookout for something to eat. Then I would quickly put it in my mouth before my conscious could kick in. But now the nagging feeling for something nice to eat is gone. I am content, nothing cry out to be eaten. Not even the rows and rows of yummy stuff that I need to pass before I can pay for my groceries. EVERY other diet I 've been on, I would always find myself looking for ways to bend the rules. Like eating 4 Weighless Bars although I am only allowed one. I would tell myself it IS sugar free... For me one of the successes of Cohen is that almost nothing is allowed. There is no room for grey areas. And I do believe in the science of the food we eat because I really feel content. Losing weight is HARD Being overweight is HARD Choose your HARD #2 I want to lose weight because: Most of the important people in my life don't know the skinny me, including my children. They deserve to know her. She is a lot less grumpy and a lot more fun.

Thats awesome Daisy. Bad days will happen (for me about once a month lol). But they are temporary. The next day is usually much much better. Glad you are feeling in control and liking it!!

Re: Happy to be here
Hi Daisy,
I am a little slow on the uptake here but welcome to the forum! I think it helps a little to have done Cohens in the past and to actually KNOW from personal experience that if you follow the rules 100% it WILL work. I love your phrase at the bottom "choose your HARD" that is soooo true!! Either way it is hard so we need to make the choice, which HARD are willing to endure... I am so glad you have chosen the 'losing weight' version... we are all here to support each other along the way. I am so looking forward to following your journey! Allie |

Re: Happy to be here
DAY 11
I am happy to say I am still going strong - no deviations... Last week we had our home group meeting at my house. Everyone was already there when I arrived late from a school meeting. They were enjoying the bring and share meal. I did not want to make the announcement that I am on a diet (again) so I quietly slipped away and ate my Cohen food in the bathroom . That is how determined I am. I want to do this in the shortest time possible. Being on Cohen it is easy for me to say: "No thank you" This weekend I baked a chocolate cake with caramel topping for my husband and kids for Valentines day. I did not even feel sorry for myself while I watched them enjoying the cake. It felt good to be able to resist and the absence of quilt felt good too. I do miss my coffee though. My husband is a farmer and the highlight of my day is coffee time with him. I tried but cannot drink black coffee/tea without sugar. Now I have coffee time without coffee. #3 I want to lose weight because: I don't want to block the water with my body when I sit in the bath |

Re: Happy to be here
@daisy, well done it sounds like you are really determined and have that strength to resist anything, it's a good place to be. I am off tea and coffee too, I can drink it black but not keen on it. It's not going to be great in winter when I want to warm up.
