Smile Hello from Singapore

Hi everyone,
I'm a new member of this super forum. I'm having my blood test on Saturday and will start the lifestyle after I receive my plan. I'm pretty nervous about not being able to stick to the plan as I really like to eat big portions. I also have a very sweet tooth and have a bad habit of treating myself.
I'm a 42 year old mother of 3 weighing 69 kgs. I've been told I need to lose 10 kgs. I can't even remember being under 60 kilos it was sooo long ago. I can't quite believe that it will be possible. I thought that if I make myself accountable by joining this group, this will be motivating.
I'd love to hear from others who've had to lose a similar amount of weight at this age and how long it took and what you did to motivate yourself. If there is anyone else in Singapore starting out and looking for a buddy, let me know. I wish you all great success with your fat loss and hope it will work for me too! Can't wait to get started!

Hi Happy

Welcome to the forum. I'm sure you will find a lot of support here. In the meantime browse around the various threads and read some diaries and you will see how successful this plan is. After your first few weeks your body will adjust to the smaller portions and you will find the plan really easy to stick to. Just make sure that you don't deviate from your plan and you will see the weight fall off and you'll be at goal in no time.

I wish I only had 10kg to lose but 10kg or 20kg or even 40 kg takes a commitment and effort and in my opinion, this is the best place to find motivation and encouragement on your journey.

I look forward to watching you get to goal.

Thanks Louise, that is so encouraging and kind of you to reply to my newbie post. I'll go to my blood test tomorrow morning and start the process! Best of luck with your plan too!
