Default Gallbladder surgery

Hi All,

So I just started again on my Cohen diet! Basically two years ago I was on the program and lost 26kilos in 4 months and was diagnosed with gallbladder stones and needed to get surgery.

Sad part was after surgery let myself off the diet and then went overseas two years later put back on the 26kilos plus an extra 2 I've been devastated that my hard work just like that gone so I'm kinda kicking myself for the lack of motivation getting back on.

Well as I said started again yesterday and have lost 2.5kilos over night and tonight I'm struggling to stay on the wagon

My program is pretty old so if there is any extra foods that have been added that you can share would be great as I get bored of the same foods and I guess that's where my struggle lies

Default Re: Gallbladder surgery

Hi Jewlz!

I feel your pain with regard to the gallbladder situation, I had mine out 9 years ago... spent over 2 weeks in hospital prior to the surgery because my liver was blocked and had severe jaundice! Definitely not a fun thing for anyone... glad are all recovered now

Don't be too hard on yourself though, there are many people who are back on the Cohen's wagon for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th or more times... I am back after gaining almost 15 kilos in a matter of months!! I lost 60 kilos from Sept 2014 - Sept 2015 and completely lost my way after that...

If you want to give us a list of the allowed vegies, proteins etc on your plan we can let you know if there have been any additions in the last few years... I got my plan in September 2014 so it is not brand new but might be useful

Congratulations on the 2.5kg loss overnight!! FANTASTIC!! When you think about deviating just think about that 2.5 kilos and remind yourself how much you DON'T want it back!!

Looking forward to hearing more on your journey

Allie
