Re: Ladel aka Liddie --- I can do this!
Awesome on the 900g lovely way to start. Love the apps but I dont think I would record my emotional status - wouldn't want to put my phone through that. I use My Fitness Pal its similar and when I train with my heart rate monitor and I upload my data it feeds through to myfitness pal and so I can see calories consumed less exercise cals. I find food tracking is ESSENTIAL - helps keep the head in the game. I track my weight and my measurements and food consumed just like you do. Its the best feeling moving the ticker down on the app. sends a lovely message when you lose weight. Keep up the great work. |

Re: Ladel aka Liddie --- I can do this!
JayW & Tess - Thanks for dropping by
So far this week a loss of 1.8kg. I'm ok with that (lol ok more than ok, very happy thank u very much) since its ALSO TOM can you believe it?! Not the best time to start I suppose, oh well they say the best time to do anything is NOW. Had a nice 45min spinning session at the gym this morning. Without fail I dont feel like attending but I absolutely enjoy every session and the good feelings afterward, so knowing this gets my butt out of bed and going anyways. Feeling hungry this morning, the weather is affecting me, stormy clouds etc and Im sure the spinning this morning also helps the hunger along nicely. But I'm trying to ignore sipping on my water, looking forward to my beef mince and baby marrow spaghetti lunch. My worst time is at night when I get home. Done running around for the day, hungry and having to prepare food for the boys, then temptation hits me. So last night I was talking to myself loudly while prepping the boys' dinner first "dont do it Ladel dont do it" whilst eyeing the cookie jar. Then my 3 year old echos me "dont do it mama dont do it" haha so damn cute I forgot the cookies, that was enough sugar for me thank you very much! Dont want to make this too long, little time to spare and I want to read a few diaries quick as you beautiful ppl always inspire me!

Awww how cute, the support from your 3 year old. That adorable. Hunger is always worse with TOM so at least you can look forward to it subsiding a bit. Keep up the good work.

Good on you for not giving in to the Cookie Power... 3 year old toddler powers are definitely much more effective!!!
I know what you mean about the hunger pangs. I am so shocked about your 45 minute spin! That's awesome! I'd literally be flat on my face after that. No wonder you're hungry! You are truly an inspiration! |

Re: Ladel aka Liddie --- I can do this!
Hi! Nope I have not fallen off the bus thank heavens. Story of my life, month end and running around like crazy.
So just popping in to say hi. First week loss 3.1kg. with TOM so I guess I can be proud of that. Did 150 jumping jacks last night, not the kind of thing I'd do at a gym... my tummy is a bit slower than me, so not a very attractive sight haha, done them at home. Got a small routine Im trying to do every night as I'm hoping to do the num num hiking trial and it does require a certain level of fitness... being a 32km hike with total ascend of 1500metres. so yes, I'm just trying to up my level of fitness and some core strength training (in prep for climbing). I realize that this will also affect the scale but my whole view on this life long battle is that I want to be fit first and hopefully the weight (with dieting effort) will follow suit. The good news though is my boy is paying very close and curious attention to my dieting and exercising, even asked if he could run with me last night. he didnt run more than 3 min but I def count that as a plus so happy! I do NOT want to force him. I also challenged him, saying I'd make him healthier food and if its not "SIMPLY DELICIOUS" he doesn't have to eat it and can revert to "bad" foods. So last night I made him a plate with a fruit medley, steamed veggies, chicken breast and saltines. and he LOVED it, EVEN the veggies, I am so STOKED! Let me have a peep at your diaries

Wow Ladel! Awesome loss there!
Kids do what we do, they don't do what we tell them to do. And what a brave effort you put in for your own and your son's health. Keep up the good work - I will see you next Wednesday, same time, same place. |

The choices we make on our own are often the most empowering...your boy learnt that from you!
Congratulations on the losses and keep up the fitness work
