Hi Cohen

Yep =) Happy to find a fellow Singaporean here.

My body is quite tolerant towards carbs. In fact, I started to lose weight when I started eating bread and rice.

I've been a big eater all my life so I finished up all the portions given without any problem =P

I attended a wedding lunch on Sunday. Ate 3 pieces of bread for breakfast, ate another 3 pieces of bread while waiting for the lunch to start and finish the day by eating 2 roti prata and shared 1 huge murtabak with my colleagues, completed with ice-cream. Of course I gained 1.7kg on Monday but had since lost 1.2kg with clean eating on Monday.

I find the trick is to go back to clean eating immediately and the water weight will drop quickly.

Hi Babydiscus!

Wow! Based on what you ate over the weekend (murtabak & prata!!! super craving for that now..hahah) and yet you still managed to lose most of that weight just by 1 day of clean eating, i think your body is really good with carbs!

I dont think my body is so good with carbs..as a matter of fact, prior to cohen ive always been on a low carb diet (ie. i dont take rice at all with my meals and i only occasionally take bread ..but i was still overweight, perhaps i love my biscuits/cakes/desserts abit too much).

Or maybe its the blood type? My blood type is O, whats yours? I think i read before that Blood Type O ppl are mainly meat eaters cos of the high acidity in our stomachs, so its best we take meat and we dont do too well with carbs.. but i think for blood type A ppl, they do very well on a vegetarian & carb heavy diet..so they wont put on as much weight..

So now on maintenance, you still cook your cohen meals during weekdays?

Hi Cohen Warrior

I'm Type B. According to the description, I need to avoid corn, wheat, buckwheat, lentils, tomatoes, peanuts, sesame seeds and chicken! But I still eat a truckload of this.

Post Cohen, I find that my body is very sensitive to food that is high in sodium and sugar. One bowl of beef kway tiao will see me increase by 1kg immediately. I would attribute my weight gain over the last weekend due to the amount of sodium in the food I ate and the 5 scoops of ice-cream I had rather than the carbs. I don't have a sweet tooth and wouldn't eat ice-cream or desserts normally.

Yup, I cook my cohen meals during weekdays but I took a short cut though. I bought pre-cooked grilled chicken breast and use ready-made seasonings to make my food tastier. Although these contain yeast and msg, I noted their sodium content is relatively low. For example Hao Chi seasoning was awarded the healthy food logo by Health Promotion Board although it contains msg because of its low sodium content. I just need to stay away from all sodium food and my water weight will go away.

I had toasted bread for breakfast and afternoon snacks without any issues.

Hi Babydiscus,

You're so lucky your body is good with carbs! Wish i was like that too. So do you still weigh your food for weekday meals? If i rembr correctly, you mentioned that you use the weights on your last refeed day?

Anyway, just to let you know, i have officially started my Refeed today!! The past few days have been horrible..insomnia at night, poor quality sleep, feeling hungry quicker than usual and brain just going crazy that i couldnt focus at all at work!! So i decided to just quickly start my refeed and not waiting till i hit 52 kg anymore.

I weighed in at 53.7kg this morning and hopefully i will lose abit more on refeed! *tho friends & family have been commenting about how skinny im looking and telling me to stop already..my mum recently commented im looking anorexic!! BOOHOO. One thing i dont like about this is that, along with the weight that is lost..so have the boobies!! hehehe. SAD but true fact of weight loss ..sigh.

Anyway, im looking forward to the next 18 days and bread tomorrow!

Have a good weekend !

Hi Cohen Warrior

Yup, I still weigh my food portions.

The good thing about Cohen is it gave me a 62cm waist...hahah.... this is smaller than before 3 kids came along and most importantly, the knowledge on how to lose weight healthily.

I think its time for us to shift this thread to Maintenance, don't you think?
