Re: Favourite fruit & veg
Hi Jen
When I'm lazy it's just cucumber with chicken or gem squash and chicken. Gem squash is quite filling. On the days I'm motivated to prepare more for myself, I quite enjoy spinach with beef mince. Use up my tomato and onion allowance with that as well. Sometimes mushrooms and green peppers with my onion and tomato into a chicken stew. Fruit....mango, papaya and Apple's. Those are my favourites. Hope that helps. |

I have been mostly having yogurt with fruit for brekky (usually half a mango cut up or orange). Last time I did the plan I had egg and mushrooms every morning.
Lunch is usually chicken breast with baby spinach leaves, tomato, cucumber and green capsicum (occasionally I add celery instead of capsicum/tomato) Dinner I usually have steak and grilled zucchini or asparagus I sometimes mix it up with fish instead of chicken/steak. Also going to try lean mince with curry powder/spices on zoodles/spinach leaves. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Favourite fruit & veg
hi all,
I'm trying to keep eating a variety of vegies so I don't get sick of something (I had too much rocket when I was on the plan the first time and couldn't eat it for years after)! Nevertheless, I've been enjoying tomato sauce for many dishes (half a tomato, bit of water, balsamic, italian herbs, salt & pepper, whizzed in blender then reduced over heat) - I have that with mushrooms and chicken quite often. Tonight I had chicken, zucchini, tomato and mushroom stir fried. Othertimes I have asparagus and cauliflower mash. Or a salad with tomato, cucumber and/or green capsicum. If i'm really hungry, I'll have beef (minced) with cabbage, celery, mushroom - so filling! Fruit? I have half a mango with yogurt each morning. Not looking forward to the end of mango season! I tried it with apple but it made me hungry. I have a fav dish with rare tuna and an orange salsa... But otherwise I don't often have my second piece of fruit... Interested to see what others like having. |

Re: Favourite fruit & veg
Thank you, LT, Tess & Stella 💖 I love hearing what people enjoy! Usually helps with ideas.
I feel I should include my favorite meals now. Yoghurt every morning, either as a spider with coke zero or sprinkled with decaf coffee & a sweetener. Must say, I'm pretty boring food wise. Of course I do vary my menu, but does depend on the weather 😅 If I feel cold, I eat foods that are warm & filling, hence the soup. Lunch is either chicken with cucumber, or tomato & cucumber with cheese. Dinner is usually rump with zucchini, in winter I make chicken soup with asstd veggies. Please everyone, do not add psyllium husks, then cook it all together. Disgusting, as I keep referring to it. Warm very slimy chicken flavored jelly is not nice, ever. My daughter was impressed with its similarities to the slime she makes, but this was way worse! Sorry, I've been traumatized, in true Cohenite fashion, I tried to eat & then finish my portion, I could not. Take care everyone, I hope that makes you laugh at least Jen I love seasonal fruit, hence my list. |
