Hi there! I've just been reading through the diaries, seems it's pretty quiet in the forum at the moment! Congrats on your weight loss, looks like you are smashing it!

Hi Tess! Thanks for stopping by with encouragement. Yes, it is pretty quiet these days, but a few of us are active, so please join us.

Down another 200 this AM. I will take it! Slept well and could have slept on if not for my alarm. Taking it slow. One more day of work. Will try to make it a shorter one than usual. Meal timing will be off, but it can't be helped.

Catch you later.

A loss is a loss! Do you weigh daily? I try not to but generally end up weighing a lot more often than I should! I have 66 days left of maternity leave then back at work! Hope the day flys by quickly for you!

Hi Tess! Yes I weigh almost every day. The ups and downs don't bother me too much.

In 66 days you will be well on your way to your slim figure, if not finished! You sound really motivated.

Heading to the airport. I have two meals packed for the long flight, dinner and breakfast. I was down another 200g this AM. Moving in the right direction. I hope I can get some good sleep so the jet lag will not be so bad.

I will check in again tomorrow. Take good care.

I hope everyone had a nice Christmas.

I have stuck to Cohen's for M1. And have had protein/veg meals for M2 and M3, for the most part. I have had some treats following maintenance guidelines, in the evening, after my M3. Weight appears to be holding steady.

Staying active and enjoying my time with family and trust you are too.

Still having M1 breakfasts. Good.

But I have had more than a few treats and meals out. I even had a slice of pizza last night. I have enjoyed it all and my clothes are still fitting comfortably. OK.

However, eating like that leads to cravings and a sluggish feeling. I do not have the pep I had when I arrived last Friday. Not good.

Time to rein things in before I regain every kilo and lose the figure I worked so hard to get. And helloooo??? I am not even finished yet!!!! I still have 5-plus kilos to go!!!!

So recommitting to plan foods only. No more sugary and salty treats. Have prepped some meals for the next few days. Going to play tennis before lunch.

I hope you are all doing well and enjoying yourselves. Looking forward to seeing you again in the New Year.

Much better yesterday. Tennis, a long walk, proper meals. Yay.

I did not want to enter 2017 full of sugar and sluggishness. I want the year to be one of discipline and moderation and sensible choices.

I had a headache hit me in the evening - I think my body was missing the sugar and chocolate. See how fast i got used to having them daily? At first it was only after dinner, one or two treats. But as the days progressed, the treats became more numerous and by the last day, they started in the afternoon, not after dinner. Scary.

Anyway, more tennis later today. I am going to take a walk by the bay first. But first yoga and breakfast. I am nice and hungry.

Happy New Year!

Forgot to say: tennis was so much easier with the weight loss! Another bonus.

Hi Michelle and Happy New Year! It sounds like you've done brilliantly well over the festive season! Well done Isn't amazing how quickly we get back into old habits of chocolate and sugar?! It's great that you felt the difference from being so "clean" on the inside to feeling the sluggishness that comes with indiscriminate eating. I'm sure you'll step back into your new way of life quickly as the world gets back to normality

Thanks for posting! I look forward to seeing you lose the last little bit of weight you want to lose and following your maintenance journey!

Happy New Year, Tess and Louise! Thanks for dropping by. Looking forward to supporting each other as we accomplish our goals and finish our journeys this year.

I wish I could say I didn't go back for more sweet treats after my last post. Alas, I did. Now I am back home and have just checked the damage on the scale: I am up 1.8 kg. And crazy as it sounds, I am relieved, as it is much less than I expected for all the treats I have had. (Probably thanks to the daily yoga and M1 breakfasts?) I had a couple of really crazy binges that left me feeling regretful and sick. I am actually surprised that my clothes are still fitting comfortably and I definitely do not feel as good physically as I did on plan. Also, my thinking is more negative and I feel less "on the ball".

And I have jetlag. Grr. And I miss my family and the really friendly surroundings. Sob.

But I have two days before work starts. So I will get up (even though it is ungoly o'clock on Sunday), do yoga, have breakfast, put on makeup, and unpack. Then I will get groceres and make some meals and get back into the comfort of the plan.

I am not adjusting my ticker because this 1.8kg will be gone in no time. I rebuke it.

Take good care and see you soon.

Heidimama - I hear ya!! I feel so sick when I eat crap. And I'm always surprised the damage on the scales isn't as bad as would be expected. It's good we feel sick when we do it. Makes it easier to eat the right stuff. I love not feeling bloated, no stomach cramps etc etc. You are right - that 1.8kg will be gone in a day or two!!

Hi jessy, blondetastic, Soleil and my dear Louise,

I have to apologize for having gone missing. I can make all kinds of excuses about life and stress getting in the way, which is partly true. But lemme face it - I just lost my way and I am here to admit it and come back to the fold.

First of all, I am now up 2 kg at 69.8 so I had better adjust my ticker. I have to admit that I am surprised that it isn't worse. I am still wearing my size 10 (6 US), but I don't look as sleek as I did before and I miss that. The worst though, is how I feel. I miss feeling disciplined, light and healthy.

I am going thru a phase where I do not want to eat meat or chicken, and I do want to eat nuts and chocolate (big bleeding surprise), which has kept me from getting back on plan. I need to just suck it up, though.

I need my routine. My hormones need balancing.

So I am going to your diaries now and then I will go to the store for some meat and veg for tomorrow.

Then a bath and a very early bed time.

I missed you and thought of you often and am happy to be back.

Just found this in Gaylene's Diary and thought I would remind myself.

http://newyouforum.com/forum/showthr...=chill&page=37

THE DANGER ZONE
So you are enjoying all those compliments about how you look lately? Congratulations
are definitely in order for what you have achieved so far. But before you get too
comfortable, we need to remind you that the journey is not over just yet. The reality is that
you are now entering the most dangerous part of this journey; where complacency can
become your greatest enemy. Having lost a substantial amount of weight already, you
might be tempted to slacken off. However, to do so could ultimately cheat you of the
chance to maintain your ideal weight for life.
Remember before you commenced your Eating Plan, we explained that the real problem
is not the excess weight, but rather the imbalance that caused your body to begin storing
in the first place. Dr Cohen terms it ‘Obesity Syndrome’ and it is there for life, meaning that
the weight can always return without adopting sensible eating habits for life. The aim of
your Eating Plan is to restore the correct metabolic balance. Only once the correct
balance has been achieved and your Refeeding Program has been completed will it be
possible to maintain your ideal weight from thereon.
Past experience has shown that people who do not reach their body’s natural ideal
weight are more likely to regain all the weight they have lost and in most cases, even
more. Of course you do not want that to happen, and so you can appreciate why we
call this the Danger Zone!
You have every right to feel proud of what you have achieved so far and deserve every
compliment you receive. But right now you need to focus on the ultimate prize on offer;
the chance to stay at your ideal weight for life. It is achievable, but only if you stay as
focussed about your Eating Plan as you have till now. Having done what you have
already, you know that you can complete the challenge. Picture yourself next Christmas
enjoying all the gourmet foods on offer with the confidence that it is not going to leave
you feeling bloated, tired and guilty. This is the ultimate prize. Not only are you
experiencing a remarkable change in your mindset about foods, but more is yet to come.
By the time you have completed your Refeeding Program, we hope you will approach
eating altogether differently.
Of course, your Program is about permanent lifestyle changes, not just weight loss. You
need to understand that you have a life-long condition which can be controlled in much
the same way as many people manage allergies by eating sensibly. There is still much to
learn about which foods are more likely to trigger the ‘Fat Factory’ back into action; which
foods are best to begin each day with; which kinds of desserts are less likely to affect your
weight than others and much more. All this information is part of your lifestyle Program
and you will need it if you are to stay slim for life.
So stay focussed on what you are ultimately achieving. Weight loss usually ends in weight
returning. Adjusting your awareness of how foods affect your condition empowers you to
manage it for life by making sensible choices about how and when you eat. This is our
whole aim and we are here to support you the whole way. The best advice we can offer
is for you to keep re-reading your Eating Plan booklet regularly. The better you understand
what you are doing, the better you will do it. Even a slight deviation can cost you up to a
whole week in fat loss. Keep in touch with the clinic and ask as many questions as you
think of. Most importantly, keep going… the finish line is in view!

So true.. what a wonderful post ... Skinny fit people generally work at it... They don't slack off because they are toned and beautiful, if anything they work harder to maintain ....

here is to your last 9 kg's the last ten makes the entire body transform it is the hardest and the most rewarding of the entire program....

What I love even more when your back to goal weight is that you can consume more of the good foods, your body needs more to function ... ironic and so true...
